Broders' Cucina Italiana

A small family-owned business where you order at the counter and find a seat, or do take-out. The food was very good, but the dining area is limited, so finding a seat may be challenging when it's busy. They have a large selection of pasta dishes and sandwiches from which to choose. I ordered Lasagna Siciliana, and my wife had spaghetti & meatballs from the kids menu, which was the perfect size for what she wanted to eat. Employees are very responsive to requests or questions. Nearby parking is limited by what's available on the surrounding neighborhood streets.

I’m from Chicago! My partner and I came down to meet up with some family, and this place absolutely blew us away. From the moment we walked in, everything felt authentic, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. The food was incredible fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was their selection of homemade, ready-to-go ingredients, which is such a unique touch. I’ll definitely be bringing some back home with me! Coming from Chicago, we have pretty high standards when it comes to food, but this spot truly holds its own. Honestly, it’s the real deal—10/10 experience all around. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Minnesota!

As a pizza chef in the neighborhood, this is where I go when I’m not eating my own. The care every team member brings to the art of hospitality Broders is known for is a direct reflection of an exceptional management team and staff that continues to beautifully carry forward the standards Molly and Tom set so many years ago. I first met Tom Broder Sr. when I was nine years old, ordering a slice of cheese pizza before walking over to the Edina Theatre with a buddy. This place isn’t just nostalgia from my youth it’s a cornerstone of Italian food in our community. Now, with a dining room that feels like it was always meant to be there, Broders continues to set the bar. We’re incredibly lucky to have this gem. Thank you to Broders, and to everyone who continues to honor the standards Molly and Tom established when it all began.

My husband has been telling me about this place for years. He has fond childhood memories of going here. His New York grandmother only ate pizza from Broders while living in MN. We finally went on a date and it was better than expected. Service was fast despite it being so busy. The pizzas are huge. Superb value for money. We each got a 12" pizza and had enough leftovers for dinner the next night. I ordered the Mushroom Speck and hubby got plain cheese. We did browse their take-home goods but didn't get any on the trip. Everything looked delicious, especially their vast selection of cheeses. I'm sorry I don't have any other photos except this selfie. I was too lost in the sauce to remember to snap any of the food! Please go, it's a great time.

Unfortunately one of the worst pasta experiences we've had, comparable to airport or cafeteria food. I had the Penne Rosmarino, the sauce was decent enough though the noodles on both dishes were quite chewy. I should be grateful that I got a good amount of sauce, our other dish was the driest fettuccine alfredo we have ever seen. Luckily they gave us more sauce when we asked for it. The quality and amount of chicken for a nearly $5 upcharge was shockingly low as well.
