Candid Studios

Been wanting to try Candid for ages but with living in Cardiff, it was a bit out of my price range, so I was pleased when I managed to book a discounted shoot through being a mailing list member. I had a small disappointment beforehand as I thought I'd booked and paid for an extra back drop (and the booking info I had by email showed my colour selection) but it wasn't applied at checkout apparently. I've no idea how that happened, and unfortunately couldn't afford to add it when this error was discovered. Something to watch out for when booking. Nat was my host and it was her first day, so newbies together! She was really lovely and wasn't too off-putting having her there, once I settled in, and we had a nice chat after too. The set up is easy to use, there is plenty of room to move around and props to use. I thought I was prepared, but for me the 35 minutes went so quickly, and I think I took too long at the beginning. The trick is just to keep clicking and moving, not overthink and get a good playlist on. I felt more warmed up once the RATM and Pearl Jam came on 😆 I shot over 200 photos, with some terrible ones of course, but came out with some really lovely ones. I needed good headshots for work and absolutely achieved that, but was delighted to find some nice ones of "me" in the in between moments of shooting. Candid is definitely the word. I really enjoyed my experience, thought it was worth what I paid, despite only having the one backdrop, and would absolutely try for a walk-in the next time I'm in London.

I’ve come to see Aimee and Lily at the studio multiple times. From getting headshots to launch my new business, to strong arming my fiancé into some nice photos after our engagement. The team are wonderful, positive and can’t do enough for you, and the experience is always lovely. On top of that, it’s a very reasonable cost for what you get. Another 5* review to go with the rest of them. I can only say it’s as fantastic as everyone says it is. 💕

I came to Candid about a month ago to get some headshots for my LinkedIn and some more relaxed pictures for my website. I loved my experience here. Elena was the studio manager on the day and she was absolutely lovely, friendly, helpful and encouraging. I usually don't like photos of myself, but I have to say, I was really happy with the results and for the first time in years I liked how I looked. Candid is all about building a positive self-image and I have to credit them with giving me exactly that. The concept is fantastic and the actual photoshoot couldn't be easier. I left the studio with a spring in my step and a really good feeling about myself. It was like therapy! I highly recommend it for professional photos, or a friend/family photoshoot, or just on your own for some positivity and self-care. I shall return!

Absolutely loved my time at Candid! It was honestly the easiest, most well run, comfortable and efficient way to get great headshots. Would recommend in a heartbeat! Also the staff were wonderful, just lovely and super helpful!

Maya was our studio host and helped us to comfortably settle in for our headshot photos, super friendly and warm environment. It was a great session, had lots of fun trying different poses and time just flew. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, fun photos to the standard headshots. Thank you!
