Catering by George's

Skye Jones and I had our wedding in Feb 2024 and we used George’s. I cannot say enough good things about Cathy at George’s. First, if anyone says she isn’t friendly I have to question whether they have ever met her. She has been great every single time we visited. Both in the planning of my now Father in Law’s 90th Birthday Party to our recent wedding a few weeks ago. At the wedding, all the guests were very complimentary on her and all her staff. I even found out she was there despite her mom being in the hospital and was leaving our reception and going directly to the hospital. That is devoted service!!! Secondly, let’s talk about the food. We had guests from the BD party requesting foods be at the reception because they were liked that well. And the feedback from the wedding crowd was just as favorable. Everyone loved the food. All the food. It’s not like one thing went first and then you had tons of leftover food of the thing that No One seemed to want. They wanted every single item we had out and we had plenty for our over 175+ guests that night. She volunteered information at our meetings as to what food was popular, what feed larger groups easier, offered alternatives, etc. She was wonderful. She will continue to be our first call for any of our big events in the future!!!

I called to inquire about space for an event that I was hosting in May. I am not quite familiar with the venue or the guest capacity requirements. The receptionist whome I spoke with was very short with me and was she unwilling to provide detailed information about their space even if they were unable to accommodate my event or provide other options, she just brushed me off and told me that they were booked. I called back again and spoke with the owner. His phone demeanor was rather unpleasant and it was apparent that he did not want to do business with me at all. He was unwilling to offer me any other options after telling me that he was unable to accommodate what it was that I was requesting. Therefore, based off of my encounter with him and his phone receptionist there is a culture at Reservoir Pointe that has set a racially specific undertone and narrative. I hope that anyone who is considering spending their money with this place reads this review. Do reconsider or make sure that the owners and staff are more inclined to accept and accommodate all groups of people.

Cathy did a great job setting up a dinner for 100 people on fairly short notice - set up, served, broke down - staff was incredibly friendly - will use again 100%
