Fairmont Copley Plaza

Beautiful historic building with lots of attention to detail. The building alone is worth checking out if you are visiting Boston. The location is great and easy walking distance to many attractions. The bar/restaurant has a nice ambiance. The menu is limited though and it would have been nice to have more vegan options. Overall we were very happy with our stay here.

I took my mom to the Fairmont Copley Plaza for her birthday, and she was absolutely blown away. The property is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the service was wonderful across the board. A special shoutout to the bell staff, who truly went above and beyond. They took the time to share the history of the hotel with us, which made the stay feel even more special and memorable. The deluxe room was also quite large, especially for a historic hotel, and very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and absolutely plan to return. Staying here felt like taking a step back into opulent history, while still being cared for with warm, attentive service.

The Fairmont Copley Plaza is a great place to stay in a great location of Boston. I stayed here for a few days on a business trip and, overall, I enjoyed the experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and the front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants. Also very quick and easy to get to from the airport. The room was nice (junior suite I believe was the room i had) and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint about the room was the lighting- it was very dimly lit. It could stand to have a bit brighter lamps. Overall though it was a great experience!

My stay at the Fairmont Copley Plaza was wonderful, and I will absolutely be returning. First, I want to recognize Cornelious (I hope I spelled his name correctly), the bellman who escorted us to our room. He was truly exceptional and deserves recognition from his supervisor. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly warm, professional, and genuinely kind. He carefully explained all of the hotel’s amenities, answered our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed. You could tell he sincerely cared about providing outstanding service rather than simply doing his job. Employees like him are the reason guests remember a hotel long after they leave, and I hope his manager knows what an incredible asset he is to the Fairmont team. The doormen were also consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. The front desk staff was efficient, and when I returned later to request a dog bed, the gentleman who helped me was very kind. However, I did notice that most of the women at the front desk appeared very serious and rarely smiled. I mention this only because I worked in the hospitality industry for many years, and I know how much a genuine smile can transform a guest’s experience. It’s a small gesture that makes people feel truly welcome, and I believe this is an area where the hotel could improve. We had a small issue with one of our breakfast orders, but it was resolved quickly and professionally. The breakfast was good overall, although I think there is room to elevate the quality of the food. The Le Labo bathroom amenities were absolutely wonderful—I loved the fragrance so much that I wish I could take it home. The bed was incredibly comfortable and made for an excellent night’s sleep. We also traveled with our dog, and he absolutely loved the dog bed that was provided. As a suggestion, I think it would make the pet experience even more special if the hotel included a small welcome kit with food and water bowls, a toy, and a dog treat. Overall, this is a beautiful historic hotel with excellent service, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Most importantly, I want to once again thank Cornelious for making us feel genuinely cared for. Exceptional hospitality comes from exceptional people, and he absolutely deserves recognition for the outstanding job he does. We look forward to returning.

*Qualifying that I used CC points to book this hotel, but it beat all expectations. One night stay, enjoyed the character overall of the hotel. Very pleasant staff, comfortable rooms, comfortable bed. Old charm with modern amenities. Go have a drink at the historic bar if you get the chance. Good Back Bay location. Will book again, someday!
