Food for the Soul

Tina and Food for the Soul were the perfect caterers for my wedding at the Pineapple Chapel! The food was incredible, and they did a great job moving everything inside for dinner when it started to rain. They were professional and great at communicating through email and over the phone. I worked with Tina to help create the perfect buffet menu and she was very considerate and careful about allergies and dietary restrictions. Everything went so smoothly and that’s due to Tina and her staff. The food was better than I could’ve imagined and they packed up all of our stuff for the end of the night. The pricing is fair and all of the costs are upfront. They also handled all of the rentals for us. I would recommend them to anyone getting married in Maui!

FFTS was our first choice for catering our destination wedding in Kapalua, Maui! After reading other reviews I was convinced Tina and her team would be great to work with - and they did not disappoint. Tina had timely responses, was direct, organized, and easy to work with even though I was located in the continental US - leaving this bride worry free. On the day of the wedding she graciously introduced herself in person with a hug and introduced her catering team to us. Now for the food - it was AMAZING! We had passed appetizers, a beverage station, a plated dinner, and a sundae station. Our guests are still mentioning how great the food was months later. Presentation was pristine, service was high quality, and clean up was worry free since the catering team took care of all of their items. Additionally, while we were busy mingling during happy hour, one of the servers tracked down my husband and I to make sure we were able to enjoy the appetizers before they were all gone. I would 100% recommend booking with FFTS!

We truly could not have asked for a better experience than working with Tina and she and her husband’s catering team at Food For The Soul. From the very beginning, Tina was incredibly flexible with all of our idea and timeline changes (though we had more than one), which made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. She was always clear, communicative, and so supportive—often offering thoughtful input from her past experience while still encouraging us to make decisions that felt true to us and our vision. She struck the perfect balance between guidance and letting us create a day that felt completely our own. On the wedding day, Tina was absolutely amazing. She kept everything moving smoothly and effortlessly without ever making us feel rushed or overly directed. We were able to stay present and fully enjoy each moment, knowing she had everything handled. She coordinated seamlessly with all of our vendors, and if there were any issues behind the scenes, we truly have no idea—because Tina managed everything so professionally and effectively. Most importantly, Tina is an incredibly kind person who we are so lucky to have had present on our wedding day. And the food was incredible. Food For The Soul exceeded every expectation. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and genuinely delicious—ourselves and our guests absolutely loved it! We are so grateful to Tina and her team for making our wedding day feel so smooth, special, and unforgettable. We would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

We used Food for the Soul for both wedding catering and planning, and it was one of the best decisions we made. About a month before our wedding we unexpectedly lost our original venue, and Tina stepped in and helped us find a new venue, coordinate vendors, rentals, timeline, and everything needed to pull the wedding together on short notice. She was extremely organized, communicative, and easy to work with, and on the wedding day everything ran perfectly so we were able to just show up and enjoy it. The food was also amazing! We received countless compliments and several guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Tina, Rob, and the entire team were wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend Food for the Soul to anyone planning a wedding or event on Maui!

Tina at Food for Soul was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! We are based on the mainland and hired her as our day-of coordinator and caterer for our wedding in Kapalua. She offered planning help to us for multiple calls leading up to the wedding which was so helpful due to her extensive experience planning weddings in Maui. Tina was very kind and helpful in guiding us through the process, bringing every single detail to our attention (a lot of things which had never thought to think of!). She genuinely wanted us to have a great experience and we ended up having the most special, perfect wedding! We did the Hawaiian buffet and it was so incredibly delicious, perhaps the best wedding food I've ever had (and they weren't shy on portions). The appetizers were also plentiful and so delicious!
