Green Mill Catering

We've been to Green Mill a few times now with our two young kids. We were initially drawn to trying out the restaurant because kids eat free on Tuesday. We were impressed by the food (the asparagus stir fry and chicken tacos were fantastic). However, the service is slow, which wouldn't be so much of an issue if I didn't have two kids with me. This last time we visited, it took almost half an hour for our food to arrive. We've also had similar experiences previously. I'm not sure if it's the time we go (usually around 5:30), but we haven't had good luck with getting our meals quickly. I understand that some diners aren't bothered by slower service, especially if they're enjoying an evening out, but a 25-30 minute wait for food is tricky with kids. I'm not asking for my food to be on the table in 10 minutes, but I'd at least hope it'd be closer to the 15-20 minute mark, especially for a restaurant that does a free kids' meal promotion. Or maybe we just need to show up earlier and see if that improves the service.

Cheese curds were decent. Got the hurricane pizza which was pretty good. Chocolate cake was okay. The reason for the 1 star rating is server was rude & had an attitude. I asked her what my options are if I don't consume ham/pork. She responded you have to build your own pizza. However I noticed that they had a chicken specialty pizza(hurricane) & ordered that. When I asked her if a large pizza is 14 or 16 inch she just responded depends on the crust you choose. Never made an attempt to explain that you have to select a crust even with the specialty pizza. Chocolate cake was brought out without any silverware whereas the norm is desserts come with separate silverware. I had to request for a spoon. The service was absolutely appalling. I have dined in restaurants in 5 different states across the nation & never witnessed such an attitude from waitstaff. Definitely not worth my time nor money(this visit was about $50) visiting this place ever again.

I've come here for years. I recently visited after not coming and was pleasantly surprised! They've gone through a renovation and it looks so open and airy. Took my grandma for Happy Hour and we enjoyed everything about it. The service was AMAZING! The pizza always hits and we tried the bruschetta and once again a hit! The house white zin was really good also. My grandma had her go to, dirty martini with extra olives and she enjoyed hers as well. Our bill came and my Grandma asked if I wanted to come back next week. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest but by no means dirty so go ahead and use it, if you need to! My grandma and I will be back really soon!!

Pretty solid meal with good service. I had the 4 cheese burger ($14). I thought is was a well crafted burger based on the ingredients. I ordered it medium rare. It came out perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and hot. My wife ordered the chicken Pamesan sandwich on Pita ($13). The flavor was really good. The wait staff came and checked on us 3 separate times. My recommendation would be to increase the portion of fries or to add a small side of something unique to enhance the experience. The price point is close but just a bit too high for what comes out. The competition in the area offers some really unique burgers and sandwiches and larger portions for a dollar or two less. With that said, there are things on the menu that look unique to Green Mill (pizza for example) that might influence people to return time and time again. We were somewhat hesitant to come to this location because we had a very mediocre experience in the past but it seems like the new mgt model took care of some loose ends. I'm happy to say we had a good experience. Keep it up!

We hadn't been there for almost 50 years when we used to live nearby. The pizza is still good and the menu has expanded. It's a little pricey for a pizza place, but the pizza was good. It was a great spot to take our college age granddaughter and her roommate.
