Let's Pretend Catering

We had Let's Pretend do an all-vegetarian buffet for our wedding, with vegan and gluten free options. Most of our guests were not vegetarian, but everyone raved about the food. Several people said that it was the best catered food they'd ever had. The team was also fabulous to work with. Before and after the tasting, they worked with us to make sure we were 100% happy with our menu, even working around some issues with availability of oven equipment from our rental company. Day-of, everything was served beautifully in accordance with our woodland theme and at the exact right time without me having to do a thing. I would highly recommend Let's Pretend Catering for anyone's wedding!

The food at our wedding could not have been more perfect. Let’s Pretend Catering is the best wedding food I have ever eaten, hands down. They were also amazing to work with. My husband and I had a wonderful tasting with them at their location in South Hero. All of our selections were perfectly executed on our wedding day. Their staff was delightful and attentive, even going so far as to bring my husband and I our own appetizer plates while we were taking photos during cocktail hour. I highly recommend Let’s Pretend Catering for your wedding or event – I promise it will be the best decision you make!

Liane is INCREDIBLE!! The whole team is incredible!! We are so thankful to have had them cater our wedding. Liane went above and beyond. She helped me design our table layouts, went back and forth countless times until we found the perfect menu for the weekend, handled the order of all of our rentals, went for a site visit with me to design general decor and layout, and was just there for every single question I had. She is such a masterful expert at what she does, we're so lucky we got to work with her! Onto the food-unreal. Everyone was talking about how delicious everything was. People went back for seconds and thirds and tried everything they laid out. Liane was so flexible with my vision for the food (we ended up doing carving stations with sides and salads at each). I wanted creative food presentation and they. absolutely. delivered. I was blown away with how gorgeous everything looked-almost too beautiful to eat (almost ;)) They collaborated with Lauri (the owner of our venue-The Barn at Boyden Farm) to orchestrate the flow of the day and everything went so smoothly, we couldn't have asked for anything more. I photographed an event with Let's Pretend Catering. The team at LPC are simply amazing. The food is delicious, & the service is top-notch. Leanne and Daniel are wonderful and clearly love what they do.

We had Let’s Pretend cater our wedding of ~150, and I think we had 150 compliments on the food throughout the evening. From the beginning Liane and the team’s communication was swift and professional with us, our venue, rental company, DJ, and photographers. Our tasting was adjusted to trial the hors d’ouevres we hoped to have and the day of team did a remarkable job setting up our tables and serving a fantastic meal. They offered recommendations on meal options for all of our guests’ dietary needs and were sure to keep us as the bride and groom catered to. We cannot recommend them for their food and their service enough!
