We hosted a family reunion at our home on July 12 and chose Pear Tree Catering to cater it. It was a great decision! Nina was professional, personable, thorough and easy to work with. From the on site visit to the post party follow up, every detail was handled to perfection. The food, decor, staff were all impeccable and thoroughly enjoyed. We had such a great experience working with the Pear Tree Catering team from start to finish. Nina was easy to communicate with in broad strokes over email then in a dedicated phone call to discuss the specifics of what we needed for a special event - a Yahrzeit One Year Memorial of the passing of my father. She helped us weave Jewish tradition with food with a light touch, and really understood the overall approach we were going for. The guest list dictated some elements, including kids, that we needed to also weave in, which she did well. Whenever I work with a new vendor it makes me nervous, but Nina was a pro all the way through, doing a site visit well in advance and assisting with the layout plans, since I could not be there locally for that (living in a different state). Each interaction we had made me more comfortable with Pear Tree Catering as our vendor of choice. They went to an extra effort to narrow the window of timing for drop off and pick up of rentals, arranged linens, had some light decor on the buffets and overall made the whole experience from start to finish easy and polished. I'm not sure I have ever managed an event when the rentals and catering team were early, jumped into action, and were always one step ahead of me - then closed out ahead of schedule. At an event where I really wanted to be present attending the event in honor of my father I worried I'd be "babysitting" the Pear Tree Catering team - but thankfully it was anything but. Lupe and her team on the day-of were kind, professional, flexible and proactive. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results of the planning efforts with Nina and am grateful to the whole team for making this important day for my extended family so delicious, on top of running smoothly - everyone loved the food! I highly recommend the Pear Tree Catering team!

June 27th, I gave a baby shower for my daughter and soon-to-be first grandchild for 30 people in Winnetka. I found Pear Tree through a Google search; first I was impressed with the reviews. Then comparing their website and the variety of food choices, they were at the top of my list. After speaking with them I was very set on them as my caterer. Their responsiveness to all my inquiries and help they provided prior to the event was very reassuring, as I wanted this to be special and all seemed to be heading that way. On that day Rebecca, the server, and Yamil, the chef, were not only prompt, professional, and polite, they made my hostess job effortless. I was able to enjoy the party and they handled everything, from a beautiful presentation to delicious food, to a spotless clean up. Thanks, Pear Tree, for making the day golden.
