Pearl & Mary on 13th St — A Happy Hour That Actually Delivers Let me tell you, Pearl & Mary came through in a big way. We stopped in for happy hour and honestly, the prices alone would've been enough to win us over — $2 oysters, $1 clams, $5 beers, $6 house wine, and $7 cocktails. The kids' smash burger rang in at $7. In this economy? Yes, please. But what sealed the deal was that the food actually matched the price. The oysters and clams were fresh, clean, and exactly what you want when you're sitting down with the family after a long day. No shortcuts, no "well, what did you expect for $2?" moments. We also ordered off the regular menu — fish and chips and a clam chowder — and both were a hit with mom and the kids, which, if you know anything about feeding a family, is the real victory lap. The service was the cherry on top. Joe was attentive without being overbearing, checked in on us just the right amount, and made the whole experience feel easy. And shoutout to Francesca, the manager, at the front — she got us seated right away and was incredibly accommodating from the jump. Pearl & Mary is the kind of spot that makes you feel like you found something. Whether you're visiting Philly or you already live here and somehow haven't been — fix that. It's a must-try, full stop.

This place is so cute. No wait but we had reservations! The oysters were so good, we got a second order. Favs were Blondie and Cape May. I got Rockefeller and that was soo good and fresh- loved the thick salt it came with. I also got lobster mac and cheese which was sooo yummy- perfect consistency of cheese. Lobster was cooked to perfection- not chewy at all. Very filling. The rest of the tabled liked it so much, I had to share!

Wonderful experience for my first time trying raw oysters. The mignonette was perfect. Deviled eggs, shrimp dumplings, and shrimp ceviche were all fantastic. I will be back! Oh and try the hibiscus spritz!

Great spot with affordable prices and amazing seafood options. I tried many of their dishes. The lobster Mac and cheese, crab toast, mahi mahi tacos, and branzino were highlights. Also enjoyed the pecan desert that they had. The fish and chips were disappointing. Partly due to the price cost and it tasted kinda bland. And chips were okay. The spinach dip had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste, could have been better.

This place is a must-try, especially for happy hour! The deals on seafood are amazing—think $1 oysters and shrimp that are super fresh. And seriously, don't skip the cocktails; they're delicious and perfectly mixed. Our bartender, Brian, was awesome. He was friendly, sharp, and made sure we never had to wait for a thing. The place definitely fills up and gets a great, busy vibe as the night goes on, so if you're not planning on just grabbing a seat at the bar, you'll want to book a table ahead of time. My one small complaint is that the two single-stall unisex bathrooms can create a bit of a wait, but it's a minor detail in an otherwise great night out.
