Built in 1830, the architecture is uniquely Southern comfort, a kitchen for drinks and coffee to have with your special wedding cake with an outdoor space perfectly designed for wedding guests during the ceremony, a band to guide all through the famous 2nd line, and a separate dining area for the reception. Exquisite!

We got married at Race + Religious in New Orleans, and I can say with absolute certainty—it’s one of the most magical wedding venues in the country. Tucked away in the Lower Garden District, it feels like stumbling upon an Italian villa hidden in plain sight, where time slows down and every corner tells a story. The moment I walked through its ivy-covered gates, surrounded by vintage art, weathered brick, and candlelight flickering through open windows, I knew it was the one. There’s an undeniable soul to this place—a kind of old-world romance mixed with that effortless New Orleans charm. Our guests wandered between courtyards and balconies, drinks in hand, discovering new pockets of beauty all night long. The pool glimmered under the string lights, setting the scene for what became the best kind of celebration: a house party that turned into pure magic. The team was warm, easygoing, and made the entire process seamless, letting us make the space completely our own. Every photo looks like a scene from a European love story, yet it’s right here in the heart of Louisiana. Could not recommend hosting your wedding at R+R more! I'm a Nashville wedding planner turned bride, and I immediately knew when I saw a photo of this venue that it was where I wanted to get married. I chose it months before even getting engaged (faux pas, but oh well!) and loved every moment of my day. Jill + Keri are amazing to work with along the way!
