Spread out over 200 hundred acres the museum recognizes Native, Black Americans and early pioneers. Various actors placed within homes and store fronts. Plenty of opportunities to purchase souvenirs. There is an ice cream/sandwich shop on site. Super family friendly museum.
World class museum worth a stop. Well organized exhibits. The frontier town is unique as also the Fonner building
Loves the whole place! Will return when we have more time because there's so much to see. Can Taylor visit to your time frame (we had 2.5 hours) but if you want to see it all definitely give yourself at least 4 hours. Could spend all day here! ♥️
We took my daughter and some of her classmates and they had a lot of fun! They learned what life was like in the 1890's. They cleaned and prepared a vegetable stew along with hand made cornbread. I have to say, that food was phenomenal. Hand made butter with the cornbread was the best. Then, after cleaning again they got to play some games and they had a great time. We will happily take our 10 year old back there.
Beautiful place. A lot to see. If you are into Nebraska history this is the place. It's got two main buildings which we saw and then there is a whole lot of out buildings that we didn't get to see because of the constant rain. If we get back here we will return
