We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mara and her team at Sweet Leaf Floral, a truly outstanding local business. They brought our daughter Brooke and Josh’s October 2025 wedding at Old Wide Awake to life in the most breathtaking way. From the ceremony florals to the reception tables — and especially Brooke’s bouquet — every detail was thoughtful, romantic, and beautifully cohesive. The color palette, textures, and overall design perfectly complemented the venue and created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and warm. What truly sets Mara and her team apart is not only their artistry, but their care and professionalism. They were available to us from the moment we made our initial call to the moment we blew out the last candle on the table — and they made the entire process feel calm, seamless, and joyful. As a mother of the bride, that level of responsiveness and reassurance meant everything. Our guests are still talking about the flowers. We are so grateful — Sweet Leaf Floral is exceptional.

Mara was an absolute joy to work with and truly one of the highlights of planning our wedding. I first found Mara and Sweetleaf on Instagram, and she helped point us toward our venue. When it came time to choose our vendors, I knew without a doubt that Sweetleaf was the team I wanted to work with. Our vision was to create a joyful, colorful, and fun wedding- and Mara brought that vision to life beautifully. She is incredibly detail-oriented, from the color palettes to the arrangement designs, the specific flowers, and even the candles. Every element came together seamlessly. We were in close communication for about a year, and on the day of the wedding, I felt completely confident knowing we were in such good hands. The flowers were one of my favorite parts of the entire day and something I’ll always look back on and cherish. Our goal of a vibrant, springtime celebration wasn’t just achieved, it was felt by everyone in the room. We can’t thank Mara and her team enough for helping bring our dream day to life. I cannot recommend Mara and Sweetleaf florals enough!!! Mara is the sweetest and devoted so much time to getting to know me and my husband and our vision for our wedding day. Even though I changed my mind a million times, she was always so helpful in steering me towards our vision, supporting my ideas, and adding fun ideas herself! I was OBSESSED with my bouquet, and our florals were even better than I could have imagined, met our theme PERFECTLY, and really made our wedding day so beautiful! They even threw in an extra arrangement since there were some leftovers, and our flowers were donated to a sweet cause after the big day. Would HIGHLY recommend choosing Sweetleaf for your big day or any other occasion!

Working with Mara was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very first moment, she felt like a familiar friend - someone who instantly understood the vibe, the softness, and the little bits of personality we wanted woven into our day. Even the very first proposal draft she created after just one meeting made me say, “YES, this is it!” She didn’t just execute our ideas… she elevated them. I loved that she embraced our vision (even the quirky parts like adding fruits to the bar design and using greenery for excitement). Be aware she is not your usual “sounds great” vendor ! What truly set her apart was her honesty and guidance. Instead of simply agreeing with everything — as many vendors do — she actually advised us. When I suggested a specific type of greenery, she gently explained it might appear grey on the tables and recommended an alternative that photographed beautifully. That’s exactly what you want from your florist: someone who cares enough to guide you, not just follow a brief. When we were debating flower petals for the ceremony aisle, she helped us think practically and within budget, pointing out that they might just blow away. And she was right. Our flowers were absolute paid actors on the wedding day. They were show-stopping, romantic, and unforgettable. Our guests could not stop talking about how they were the most beautiful arrangements they’d ever seen… and yes, we even caught a few friends trying to sneak some home at the end of the night 😂 We made some changes to our vision board along the way, and Mara handled every update seamlessly. On the wedding day, she and her team arrived on time, glowing with the best energy, and even surprised us with thoughtful local gifts. If you are looking for a florist who truly gets you, brings magic to your vision, and is an incredible human on top of it all — Mara is the one. We couldn’t be more grateful.
