Tamale Boy

Tamale Boy cannot be beat. The food is NEXT LEVEL DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this fine establishment for their incredible food and drinks. The Tamarind Whiskey Sour is unmatched, it's perfectly balanced. The chips, salsa and guacamole were fresh and tasty. The vibe is fun, I especially enjoyed the colorful mural!

My family went there to eat tamales and nachos. It was very delicious! The Fritos fried tamale, eggs, black bean dish was my favorite. We did try the new cafe tamale dessert and it was pretty good. My sisters also had the hibiscus drink, it was yummy. The service was amazing, quick and friendly. We’re definitely coming back whenever we visit.

Great tasting Tamales! They're all delicious, try them all and find your favorite. Staff was very accommodating, there weren't any seats left in the courtyard so they seated us inside. I wish the place was warmer so it's cozy, I was cold in there. But over all, this place is a must try and will come back again and again!

I am rating this on a single item and that might not be fair. I was at Tiny Giants and ordered the Queso Fundido. Price-wise totally fine, serving size/presentstion generous/nice, but it just really didn't taste like anything. Like, literally it had the consistency of Velveeta, but it didn't really taste like anything at all. It was just warm, white, dip that I had to focus on to even pin saltiness down. The way they served it was great. I had a small dinner before and wanted something snacky and this was totally fine, but just not something I would order again. Next time I am in the area I will try more still and hope to revise up.

Ordered Nachos -- just be sure to skip the jalapeños (way too hot). Lots of food, took home 3 plastic containers. There are a few seats indoors, but mostly you eat outside on picnic tables; have to get your own water and take-home containers -- so do that before they bring your order (because of flies). They close @ 9pm, 8pm on Sundays. Possibly the best Mexican food in NE Portland.
