The Langham, Chicago

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Langham Hotel in Chicago. From the moment we stepped in, the luxurious service from every staff member made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Valarie was especially remarkable at the front desk—her kindness and attention went above and beyond, making our experience unforgettable. Everything about the hotel radiated comfort and elegance, and we truly felt like valued guests. We deeply appreciate the warm reception and the effort to make our wedding stay so special. Incredible experience. Used credit card points to treat my daughter to her first visit to Chicago. Location could not have been more central. The room was spotless with high-end everything. The privacy glass, deep tub, and super quiet AC differentiated it. The best part though was the top-notch service. From the moment we stepped out of our cab we were attended to with warmth and kindness. It's a posh hotel but completely unpretentious, and they were kind and attentive to my daughter. They even gave my daughter a child version of the robes in the rooms and sent up chocolate covered strawberries our second night. The pool was beautiful and well attended by other families. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return!

We last stayed here 9 yrs ago and wanted to return to Chicago,so we decided to do this for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It did not dissapoint and we are so glad we returned,all the staff are just so friendly and very helpful. The room we chose was a Club Lounge again as that was perfect for us,we had a good view out. The room does not have a coffee machine which we had forgotten about,but with the lounge a few steps away it was easy to get a drink in the mornings. We had to ask for a iron & ironing board which arrived promptly. Prior to our arrival the hotel had asked for a photo & in the room was the photo supplied in a frame with a bottle of champagne 🍾 that was such a lovely thing to walk into after a long haul flight from the UK. The rooms now have Diptyque for the toiletries & shower,they are lovely. The lounge was great for breakfast & sets you up for a long day ahead,poached eggs came out perfect,during the day there are always snacks/drinks. We manged to get back for a afternoon tea,the scones & jam lovely. Check in & out easy,they will look after your bags if you want to explore more to make the most of your time there. The only thing this time we noticed were some children running around the lounge not quiet, as if it was a nursery,not the hotels fault. This was a stay we are so glad we had made,we could have gone elsewhere in the city,The Langham lived up to why we returned for a special occasion. Lastly see Phillippe The Chief Concierge he is amazing.

Great location, wonderful service, and loved my clean spacious room. You feel welcome the moment you're greeted at the door. The bar/restaurant area has a great view of the Riverwalk area. They even host high tea here. I would highly recommend this hotel. I slept like an angel.

We spent a long weekend here over July 4th and had a very nice experience. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. Many team members went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I had requested a fragrance-free room due to a sensitivity, and the hotel did an excellent job accommodating that request, which I really appreciated. The gym was excellent, and I attended a couple of the yoga/Pilates classes. I just wish there had been more class times that fit my schedule. One feature we especially appreciated was the steam room and sauna in each locker room, which hotel guests can use even without booking a spa service. That became part of our daily routine. There's a large indoor pool and a hot tub. It seemed to be popular with families and children, so I'd definitely consider it family-friendly, while still being a great option for adults traveling without kids, as it was for us.
