The Lodge at Spruce Peak

The Lodge at Spruce Peak was absolutely amazing—one of the best mountain stays I’ve ever had. The ski-in/ski-out access is unbeatable and made the entire experience so effortless and enjoyable. Being able to step right onto the slopes in the morning and ski back directly to the hotel at the end of the day was a game changer. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with a warm alpine design that perfectly fits the setting. Everything felt high-quality and thoughtfully done, making it easy to relax after a full day outdoors. What really stood out, though, was the overall vibe of the property. It has this perfect balance of luxury and cozy mountain lodge energy that makes you feel both pampered and completely at ease. From the atmosphere to the scenery to the convenience, everything just worked. I loved every moment of my stay here and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable ski trip experience.

Every small detail of this hotel was absolute perfection! From our very first interaction, even before we booked, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This was our first time traveling with our dog, and the team made sure she had everything she needed. They explained all the pet-friendly areas, recommended local activities, and made traveling with her completely stress free. The valet staff were especially outstanding. Every interaction was warm and genuine, they asked about our day, offered recommendations, and even gave our son high fives, which absolutely made his day. Those little moments made our stay feel so personal. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was delicious, fresh, and served in a beautiful atmosphere. The pool was truly the star of the show perfectly maintained, a great temperature, and incredibly family-friendly. This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The exceptional service and attention to every little detail made our stay unforgettable, and we can’t wait to come back!

Make sure to get the day pass to the spa. It includes other things such as the yoga and wellness water journey. The day pass is $50 per person whereas the yoga is $30 per person.. highly recommend it. They did a great job renovating everything. The little spa journey was rather compact, but very nice.

We’ve stayed here multiple times during ski season and have always had a wonderful experience, which is why this visit was a little disappointing for us. The property itself is still beautiful, and we truly enjoy the location and family friendly atmosphere, which is why we already booked another stay for this coming winter. This was our first summer visit over Memorial Day weekend, and unfortunately the resort seemed noticeably understaffed and unprepared for the holiday volume. Service throughout the property felt overwhelmed at times, especially during breakfast and valet. Breakfast each morning involved extremely long waits, with lines extending outside the restaurant. Service everywhere took significantly longer than expected. While holiday weekends are naturally busy, it felt like the resort underestimated the number of guests and did not staff accordingly. One small interaction that stood out to us happened while we were waiting in the lobby for our car before heading out to dinner. Our 7 year old daughter suddenly became very thirsty, and since our car was arriving shortly, we did not have enough time to walk back to the room. She politely asked the front desk if she could have a bottle of water, but we were told that water had already been provided at check in and that we should return to our room to refill our reusable bottles. Under normal circumstances this would not have been a major issue, but with small children, long wait times, and a car arriving any moment, the response felt unnecessarily inflexible for a resort known for hospitality and family friendly service. Again, we still genuinely love the property itself. This review is more about hoping the resort improves staffing and guest experience all year round not just ski season, because the setting and potential are absolutely there.

Exceptional The Lodge at Spruce Peak As a World of Hyatt Globalist member, I have stayed at Hyatt properties all over the world, and I want to recognize an outstanding experience at The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a Destination by Hyatt property. Due to an unexpected and very stressful situation with a local Airbnb in Stowe, VT, my family and I were effectively stranded on my girls birthday. I contacted Hyatt’s phone sales team and explained that I had just stayed at the Lodge the prior week and was seeking assistance. From that point forward, the experience exemplified exactly what Hyatt hospitality is meant to be. Diana a Manager, was exceptional professional, kind, calm, and genuinely empathetic. She was able to secure accommodations for my family on short notice and completely transformed what had been a difficult situation into an outstanding stay. It was also my girlfriend’s birthday week, and thanks to Diana, the stay became a memorable and meaningful experience that exceeded our previous visit. This level of service reflects the very best of the World of Hyatt brand. Many properties Hyatt and otherwise would benefit from having a leader like Diana at their front desk. Additional highlights of the stay: Excellent dining experiences, particularly dinner (the pepper steak was outstanding) Consistently helpful and professional valet staff Exemplary bell staff and ski valet service Clean, well-designed, and comfortable rooms Top-tier mountain operations and resort staff throughout the property The Lodge at Spruce Peak truly delivers on Hyatt’s commitment to care, service, and guest experience.
