Our wedding was supposed to take place in Asheville, NC the weekend Hurricane Helene hit. We were completely off the grid in an Airbnb with no cell service, and when we finally emerged (on what was supposed to be our wedding day), we had no idea what to expect. To our amazement, Terran was already en route to my parents' home in Charlotte—with my flowers in tow—ready to pivot our entire wedding with grace and determination. The next day, she pulled off the most beautiful backyard wedding at my parents' house. It was a complete 180 from what we had originally planned, and yet somehow it was perfect. Despite dealing with devastation at home, Terran showed up for us fully and made the most of a chaotic situation. Her calm presence, creativity, and incredible dedication made it one of the most meaningful and joyful days of our lives. Leading up to the wedding, the planning process with Terran was equally amazing. I’ve never been the type of person who dreamed about planning a wedding—but with her, it was genuinely fun and completely stress-free. She understood our style, kept us on track, and always made us feel supported. If you’re looking for an event planner who is not only wildly talented and organized, but also compassionate, flexible, and committed beyond measure—Terran is the one. We are endlessly grateful. Looking back, we know that our wedding was just one small moment in the midst of something so much larger and more devastating. So many people in Asheville and the surrounding areas lost homes, livelihoods, and even loved ones during Hurricane Helene. In case you don't read this entire review, TL;DR: Hire Terran and her team to plan your event!!! We hired Terran as our wedding planner as an out-of-state couple, having never visited a single venue or vendor before booking them, and she steered us in all the right directions. Terran not only took the stress out of planning, but made it FUN! I looked forward to each our check-in calls because anytime I came up with some new idea her answer was always "yes, and...". And as someone who is not great at managing a budget, she was a MASTERMIND in making sure we stayed within budget. Whenever I proposed a costly idea or new wishlist item, she explained all the options for us to achieve it within budget. Or if was going to push the envelope, she'd explain what we may have to sacrifice, giving her honest opinion on where the most value lied — and in retrospect, she was right every time. When it came to executing our vision, she blew it out of the water!!! Her eye for design and attention to detail shined through at every corner and moment of our wedding. We even had a storm roll through just as our outdoor reception was beginning, and she and our vendors moved our entire bar set-up under cover so swiftly that I never even noticed that it was moved! All of our guests unanimously said that this was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. I felt so seen by Terran in all of my questions, anxieties, visions, and dreams, that by the time our wedding day came, it felt like she and her team were an extension of our party, like additional friends celebrating our big day with us (all while executing everything to a T behind the scenes). I wish I could write a full dissertation on why Terran is the only event planner you should consider, but I fear people might not read all of that, so I hope if you've made it this far in my review, the decision to trust her with your wedding or event has become clear as day — you'll be so happy you did!
