We had an amazing experience working with Karissa Kysar and Jenny Phillips at the Abernethy Center. They both played a huge role in making our wedding day feel seamless and stress-free. Our day-of coordinator, Jenny, kept us informed throughout the entire day, ensuring we stayed on schedule. She was also fantastic at coordinating with our vendors, especially when we made a few last-minute changes to our timeline. Her calm and organized approach made everything run smoothly. Karissa, our event manager, was equally wonderful. She helped us finalize our layout and guided us through the planning process, encouraging us to think through our timeline and bring our vision for the wedding to life. Her expertise and attention to detail made us feel confident every step of the way. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful this venue and team was to work with and how beautiful Abigail's garden is to get married in. We planned our wedding in 5 months and if I had worked with a different venue, my stress levels would've been much higher. Abernethy Center is so organized and runs a well oiled machine that I felt on top of things, organized, and like everything had been thought out. The food they make is delicious - we loved the Mexicali Express, tator tots, and queso. The bar was great too! Their sales team (Karissa specifically) is amazing. I sent her so many emails asking questions and she always had an answer for me and was kind. Their day of coordination package is worth the money - Emilee and Jenny helped me have a stress free day. They set up decor, did the ceremony run through, brought my husband and I water, drinks, and food throughout the night, handed out dance party accessories to guests, and handled vendor communication and logistics. They even packed up a bag of food, desserts, and champagne for us to take to our hotel after the wedding in case we didn't eat enough. The getting ready rooms were spacious, stocked with snacks and drinks, and super nice to have for the bridal party. Abigail's garden is GORGEOUS - we had so many out of state people fall in love with Oregon because of the beautiful garden flowers, stream, willow tree, and greenery. The reception tent is awesome. We didn't need much decor because the venue is so pretty by itself. Truly I am so grateful for this team and venue. They run a well oiled machine and help you plan for your day so everything goes off without issues. They know what they're doing. We secured our date when they were running a sale, and for what we paid, we definitely got our money's worth.

This is a lovely venue surrounded by cool places to eat and drink. The entry foyer is very nice with plenty of room for setting up greeting tables and a coat check.. The main ballroom has wonderful chandeliers, very high ceilings and lots of windows. Dance floor is a little small for the overall space but adequate. The bathrooms are new and clean. Set up in kitchen area is barely adequate. Parking is plentiful. That’s a great place for any medium size event.

As a wedding photographer, Abigail's Garden at Abernethy Center is such a beautiful space to work in. The getting ready areas have an easy, natural flow that makes those moments feel calm and unforced, which is perfect for photos that feel genuine and relaxed. The entire staff is also so incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive throughout the day, which makes such a difference from a vendor perspective. The garden pathway, lined with charming lamp posts, is a dream backdrop and gives all the lush garden vibes for portraits. One of my favorite spots is tucked near the weeping willows. It is the most peaceful and romantic setting and feels ideal for a quiet moment with just the couple. Abigail's Garden offers so many thoughtful photo locations that help the day feel intimate, timeless, and full of natural beauty.

I don’t even know what to begin with this review. Nothing I write comes close to the experience I had on my wedding day. I began looking at venues a few years ago and the two things I wanted were to get married either in or near Portland and I wanted an outdoor wedding surrounded by a lot of greenery since I live in Las Vegas where it is dry and there are not many trees in sight. From the beginning of getting a quote with Karissa to Katie being my wedding coordinator, the Abernethy Team always answered any questions I had, assisted in any recommendations I needed and made me feel at ease during the entire process. I never visited Abigail’s Garden prior to booking and saw the venue for the first time a day before my wedding and I was in awe. No photo can compare to how it all looks in person. Having a suite for the bridal party and groomsmen to hide away while waiting for the big moment was the cherry on top. The garden is beautiful, and I love the long-paved walkway that leads to the gazebo because it makes the anticipation much better. The tent for the reception area is massive and elegant. I have also never had food from a wedding venue be delicious. All my guests mentioned how delicious all the food was. And then there is last, but not least, Katie. Katie, you were amazing during our first video call and so on top of it. On the day of my wedding, you were so cool, calm, and collected. You never looked worried, so I never felt worried. Any last-minute changes or any concerns that were brought to your attention were always handled with grace. I cannot thank you enough for bringing my dream wedding to life. I am forever grateful to you and the entire Abernethy Center Team.
