Amaterra Winery

Amaterra is absolutely beautiful. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is elegant, and the staff were warm, attentive, and provided excellent service. It’s definitely a place worth visiting for the scenery and overall ambiance. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the price point. I ordered the $48 seared scallops, which came with only four scallops and very little else on the plate. While they were cooked well, the portion was extremely small for the price. The $44 wine-braised short rib was also much smaller than expected and served over mashed potatoes that were thinner than I anticipated. Neither dish had that “wow” factor in flavor that would justify the cost. For a restaurant at this price level, I expected either larger portions or more accompaniments. Even something as simple as complimentary bread or additional sides would have made the meal feel more complete and worthwhile. I truly wanted to love the entire experience because the location is gorgeous, but I left feeling underwhelmed by the value. I’d happily return for the views and service, but I hope the kitchen reconsiders portion sizes or what comes with each entrée.

My husband and I were married at Amaterra on April 25th, 2026 and the experience was a delight, start to finish. The winery has multiple gorgeous areas that lend themselves well to customization, both indoors and outdoors (which is a must with Oregon's mercurial weather patterns!). Communication was steady and the event planner Katie Carver was a creative mastermind. Their kitchen staff is incredible - they created an amazing mixed menu with some Amaterra classic catering options as well as some custom Chinese dishes. Importantly, the pricing was also fair and transparent all throughout the process. Overall, Amaterra will always have a special place in our hearts after taking such good care of us on our big day.

From our first time we toured Amaterra and spoke with our venue coordinator Katie, we knew how much effort they were willing to put in to make our wedding the special day that it was. She was responsive and thoughtful throughout the entire planning process, making sure every detail was handled so we could just enjoy getting ready to marry. The whole team, front of house and back, treated us and our guests like family, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. The venue itself is stunning, with an elegant setting that made everything feel exquisite without us having to do much at all. What really set Amaterra apart was how much they cared about our experience at every step, not just on wedding day. They made us feel like a member of the Amaterra community and the best part is it’s a place we can return to for dinners, wine tastings, and other incredible events for years to come. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic oysters, happy hour charcuterie, and wine by the glass (or half glass). The dinner entrees are also top notch. There are some great wines that they produce, however, there are other wineries that I will go to if I’m just looking for a tasting rather than a food + wine experience. Their facility is beautiful and the views from their patio are spectacular. I would highly recommend stopping by for their happy hour or a wine tasting in the near future!

A beautiful winery with some of the most stunning scenic views all around. They did an amazing job designing this hidden gem, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. They offer a great variety of delicious food options and excellent wines, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. The food was fantastic, and the combination of breathtaking views, great vibes, and good times made for an unforgettable experience. Definitely a place worth visiting! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
