This venue cancelled three months of scheduled weddings with very short notice and no prior warning. Communication and transparency throughout the process were poor. In our experience, the owners handled the situation poorly and did not appropriately take responsibility for the stress, financial burden, and emotional impact this created for couples and their families. Their responses came across as harsh and arrogant during an already stressful time. Unfortunately, many couples have been affected by these cancellations.

Blackberry Estates cancelled our wedding two months before our scheduled date, which created an incredibly stressful situation as we had to quickly re-plan many aspects of our event. From our experience, communication throughout the process was vague, misleading, and lacked transparency regarding the venue’s construction progress and readiness timeline. In the weeks leading up to the cancellation, we were still under the impression that things were moving forward as planned, including discussions about scheduling a tour shortly before we received the cancellation notice. Because of this, the news came as a complete surprise to us. We understand that construction delays and unforeseen issues can happen, especially with a new venue. However, we wish there had been earlier and more direct communication so we, along with multiple other affected couples, could have had more time to make alternate arrangements. What has been most disappointing is the way the situation was handled afterward. Our attempts to seek resolution were met with responses that felt dismissive and insensitive, with little accountability or effort made to remedy the situation. The cancellation itself was unfortunate, but the lack of transparency, professionalism, and compassion throughout the process made an already stressful experience significantly more difficult.

I wish I could give them a 0 star review but since I can’t… Don’t be fooled by the AI pics. Construction is delayed and they are not being up front with the information. They are signing on new couples as if things are going well but are postponing and canceling weddings on the back end. They canceled wedding super last minute and offered no alternatives and very little in the way of apology. If this is how they are doing business now, I doubt it will change once they are actually open. Do NOT consider this venue for your wedding.

They have cancelled at least 10 weddings with less than 3 months notice. They have also acted unprofessionally in the aftermath of ruining these unfortunate individual's wedding planning experience.

I really wanted this venue to work out for our wedding, but unfortunately our experience with the owners was extremely disappointing. When we first contacted them, the venue was still being built and had not even opened. We were repeatedly told it would be open about a month after they wanted us to sign the contract. They were very pushy about getting us to sign and pay the deposit, even though they were still in the process of building. We did not want to book with them until we saw the venue in person and agreed it was what we wanted. Thankfully we did not book. During our first Zoom call, we specifically discussed beverages and were told we would NOT have to purchase the beverage packages for our guests and that my husband and I could provide our own. We agreed to that. About a month later, when we were ready to sign and pay the deposit, they suddenly told us they need to update us that beverage packages are required now for all guests and that there are “no exceptions”. Extremely unprofessional on their end after we agreed that it would be okay to provide our own slavic drinks. They told us that if we had paid the deposit immediately after our first meeting, they would’ve stuck to our original agreement. The communication throughout this process was extremely poor, and we felt pressured, misled, and completely disregarded as clients. This couple is very unprofessional when it comes to speaking to clients. This venue is not even open yet, a whole year after they were supposed to have a grand opening. I understand that building a new venue comes with challenges, but changing agreements, adding thousands of dollars in unexpected charges, and pressuring couples to sign before the venue is even open is not acceptable. I strongly recommend NOT booking this venue, please do your research and save yourself a headache.
