Boston Harbor Hotel

Our stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel was exceptional from beginning to end. The property itself is elegant, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located, but what truly distinguished the experience was the outstanding level of service. We greatly appreciated the room upgrade, thoughtful amenities, and the way the entire experience felt elevated without ever feeling transactional. Every benefit added meaningful value to the stay and reinforced why the Fine Hotels + Resorts program can be so worthwhile at the right property. The staff consistently addressed us personally, anticipated our needs, and responded quickly and graciously to every request. The service was polished, warm, and attentive across every interaction. It was clear that the team takes genuine pride in creating a memorable guest experience. The Boston Harbor Hotel delivered exactly what a five-star luxury hotel should: a beautiful setting, excellent accommodations, meaningful AmEx FHR recognition, and truly exceptional customer service. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

Amazing hotel. The staff was on point with everything!!! Housekeeping staff was so awesome. Pool was beautiful , i was even able to swim half mile 2 days in a row. Gorgeous rooms AND what a view of the harbor. Thank you Boston harbor hotel you made my first visit to your city wonderful ❤️🤍💙 ps Valet guys were OUTSTANDING!!!

We had a great stay at Boston Harbor Hotel. The service was excellent throughout, and the staff were warm and friendly. One detail I really appreciated was that when I requested extra amenities during our stay, they arrived beautifully wrapped in a small gift bag, which was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel also has a lot to offer beyond the room itself. The lobby flower arrangement is beautiful, the pool is a good length for actual laps, and the wellness area stood out to me. It has an infrared sauna with 12 different light settings, which is something I rarely see in hotels, plus a hot tub and steam room. The gym is also well equipped and very usable. The location is extremely convenient, and we loved the view from our room overlooking Boston Harbor. Seeing the seagulls and being able to open the window a bit for fresh air made the stay even more enjoyable. Downstairs, the Dandelion café downstairs was another highlight- good chai latte, a solid breakfast selection, and very convenient. The only thing I’d note is that the rooms do not feel especially modern. To me, the hotel has a sense of history and a bit of an old-world feel—almost like a grand hotel from an earlier era. I personally still found it charming, but if you strongly prefer sleek, modern room design, this may not be your favorite style. Overall though, it was a wonderful stay!

This is such a top notch hotel. Service was truly exceptional. Even got a Boston Harbor hotel plush for our baby. Rooms are spacious and charming. Some have commented on it being less modern which is true, but I think it’s an intentional historic charm (beautiful wood panelings, brass fixtures, etc). To each their own, I personally preferred this. The waterfront is very special too. The pool and gym were excellent, some of the best fitness amenities I’ve been to in a hotel, even with the Hyperice massagers. Also had a conference in their conference center which is amazing, waterfront views, and beautiful conference rooms.

Sheila first helped me with a reservation several years ago, and I recently reached out to see if she could help make our Tall Ships Parade of Sail weekend a little more special. Just as I remembered, she responded quickly with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. It’s so refreshing to work with someone who goes above and beyond to help guests. Thank you, Sheila, for your outstanding assistance—it truly means a lot. We’re looking forward to returning to the Boston Harbor Hotel and, as always, can’t wait for Sunday morning breakfast on the 1928 Rowes Wharf patio overlooking the harbor. It’s one of our favorite Boston traditions! PS: it’s important to note that both Sheila and so many others have been there for 25+ years!
