Brix Restaurant, Napa

It had been a moment, but returned to Brix tonight while in Napa for a conference and was thoroughly impressed with the menu, service and quality. Also, by Napa standards, very affordable. The asparagus salad with sleeping beauty cheese was an enchanting treat. Main event was the steak frites while we ordered the fried chicken as a bonus entre to share. Very impressed with the house Kelleher cabarnet to wash it all down. Surprisingly not busy. Definitely put Brix on the agenda for your next Napa visit

We visited here for our anniversary. It's perfect for special occasions, with the patio in the rear looking out on a beautiful small vineyard and hills beyond. We found the view very peaceful, and had a great time. The Napa wine train runs right behind the vineyard. The food was excellent, and plated well. The Creole Bbq Shrimp was very flavorful and could be a bit too sour for some people. The Halibut was cooked perfectly, and was perfectly complemented by the coconut rice. Veggie Alfredo pasta was also very good. The Butterscotch Pot de Creme dessert tasted like something home made in the best way. Service was very good. The wine bottle selection was extensive, and there were also a few house wines available by the glass. Usually for anniversaries & special occasions the restaurant gives the guest a greeting card along with complimentary champagne & a dessert dish, but we got only a card, so they might have changed their policy.

We were there on a Monday night, not often the best day to go to a restaurant but everything was very well done. Great service and really good food. The Fig Carpacio was very tasty although I think of carpacio and thinly sliced protein. My wife ha Halibut, perfectly cooked for her, a little over for me and I had the shirt rib with horseradish mashtaters and onion rings. Crab cakes were good as well

Bad first impressions since the front of house seems incredibly disorganized. We were early when we checked in and were told we can have a drink in the garden but have to order at the bar. When we waited at the bar for our drinks, someone else came and asked if we had a reservation and offered to check us in. They said a table was available but we had to settle at the bar since the tab cannot be transferred. Then they left but the original host said she found a table early and offered to seat us! The plus is that food is great and service at the table was super friendly but woah what an intro.

My favorite restaurant around the Napa area!!! We walked in around 5pm on a weekend evening and were able to get seated quickly. From start to end the service was superb; friendly, professional, and attentive. As for the food, phenomenal! Especially the short ribs which are an absolute MUST. Fall off the bone tender and so flavorful!! The crispy onion ring added a pleasant airy crunch to the dish that I now want every time I eat short ribs. Whoever added this feature to the dish was brilliant. My only complaint was I think the panzanella on the greens? Something on the greens had a little too much horseradishy flavor that kinda overpowered the dish. Other than the greens though, this dish was excellent! The sticky ribs were a nice appetizer; sweet, juicy, and tender ribs paired with a side of pickled onions to balance the sweetness was perfect. The Brix burger likewise was delicious. I think what sets this place over the top though is their location, decor and overall ambiance. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the outdoor seating and vineyard is breathtaking. Dining at this fine establishment had me in a state of pure bliss and gratitude the whole time. Even if the food and service missed the marks, you could just go outside, meander the lovely terrace and temporarily forget all your problems. Given the stellar food, service, and ambiance, we would absolutely return here. However, I do recommend reservations during peak hours.
