Candlelight Inn Napa Valley

This was our first visit to Napa and the Candlelight INN did not disappoint. It is so quaint and charming. The staff were all friendly and so welcoming. We enjoyed Suite #9. Everything was so clean and I loved the Nespresso machine in room, the robs and they had an amazing breakfast. There were cozy robs and fresh baked goods throughout the day as well as ice, water, coffee , tea and crackers and small charcuterie plates available throughout the evening. If we ever come back this will be our go to place to stay.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here very much. Our room was great with a nice back porch looking onto a swimming pool with lots of beautiful flowers everywhere we looked. We've stayed in several B&Bs over the years. The problem with older homes like this is that there is generally much dust in the rooms and in the air. We found that to be the case here. The breakfast was okay. Not great ... but we enjoyed the communal dining area and the evening cookies. We would return. The location is not really close to anything in particular but Napa gave us a nice jumping off spot to visit Yountville and Calistoga.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Candlelight Inn Napa. The room was cozy with a fireplace, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the staff warm and welcoming. The daily three‑course gourmet breakfast and fresh cookies were the highlight of our trip, perfect before a day of wine tasting. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

I’ll start by saying the staff was absolutely incredible. They were very nice and helpful. I have a food allergy and they were able to accommodate me for breakfast. We appreciated the small cheese and cracker plates they offered as complimentary snacks. The inn is beautiful. We didn’t have time to use the pool so I can’t speak to that. The reason the inn is only getting 3 stars was the state of our room. It’s definitely seen better days and the wear and tear is very apparent throughout the room. The shower was tiny and the door kept popping open while we used it. The bed was comfortable enough. The air conditioner was old and was barely putting out cold air, even at the lowest settings we still woke up in the middle of the night hot and sweating. We eventually had to crack the windows open to cool the room down. The biggest disappointment was the two person tub. It took forever to fill up because of the low water pressure, the water was cooling down as the tub slowly filled, and the jets weren’t that powerful. Overall this place was ok but we wouldn’t recommend it.

An exceptional experience. The place is beautiful and well-maintained, both in terms of upkeep and overall appearance. It is historic and extremely pleasant. The room was super comfortable and had all the amenities I could possibly need. For example, I had forgotten my makeup remover and was struggling to take off my makeup using just water, soap, and paper. It seems like a small thing, but having it provided in my bathroom was a very important detail for me. Every little detail was very thoughtfully considered. For instance, I am vegan and had informed them via email. They provided an excellent breakfast within my dietary restrictions. My husband had the standard meal, which was also great. Having a heated pool was fantastic — even in the cold winter, we were able to enjoy it. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was large enough for a couple to use comfortably. I also have to mention the staff. Although I didn’t see many employees, the few I did meet were incredible — extremely friendly and efficient. I have no words to express how much I enjoyed my entire experience. I definitely recommend this place and fully intend to return!
