Castle Hill

Castle Hill Inn was truly one of the most incredible experiences we had in Newport. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. We started out on the lawn in the Adirondack chairs, drinking wine, watching the boats go by, and taking in the sunset over the water. The setting is hard to beat — wide open lawn, beautiful views, a relaxed bar setup, and that classic Newport coastal feeling. After spending time outside, we moved up to the terrace for dinner, and the experience was just as good. The food was excellent, the service was phenomenal, and the views made the whole night feel memorable. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down and stay for a while — watching the harbor, the sailboats, and the light change over the water. The property itself is beautiful too. The house sits up on the hill with an incredible view, and you can stroll over toward Castle Hill Lighthouse, which makes the whole visit feel even more scenic and unique. It got a little chilly while we were there, and the restaurant provided blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening even better. Everything about Castle Hill Inn felt 10 out of 10: the setting, the food, the service, the atmosphere, the sunset, and the little details. It’s easily one of the most beautiful places in Newport and absolutely worth visiting, even if just for drinks on the lawn or dinner on the terrace.

Castle Hill exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and creates the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. The food was outstanding—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. What truly made the experience exceptional was the incredible service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from start to finish. I highly recommend Castle Hill to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay with amazing food and first-class hospitality. I can't wait to come back!

Beautiful views and definitely the main reason to visit. We stopped by for what we thought would be a quick bite and were pretty shocked when a lobster roll and one Cosmo cocktail came out to $98. The price felt very steep, especially considering the food itself wasn’t anything special and definitely didn’t justify the cost. That said, the scenery is stunning, and it’s a great spot to sit back and enjoy the view. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Beautiful happy hour and dinner at the Castle Hill last night. I had the duck, they had the fish tacos, chicken curry, cheese plate and the kids had the marinara pasta. All were delicious. If you're trying to get a reservation on the lawn, email them the morning of (as they say to 1 month out), and then they offer you the time - don't bank on them still having it if you get back to them within an hour.... I tried to get a reso a month out, they told me 8pm was available, I emailed back... and it was gone already, with no other options or flexibility. Not ideal customer service, except that "you can go to the bar, it's first come, first serve." Good luck to all!
