Will recommend this place any time it comes up. Outstanding property, great rooms, and breakfast daily. Cocktail hour was our favorite part. We loved the cab grown by the owners that was available each evening along with a white wine and a plate of hors d’oeuvers to pair with. The veranda was wonderful and we spent much more time out there than anticipated (a good problem to have). Hosts were friendly and helpful. As I said, we would strongly encourage choosing this place to anyone we come in contact with
Hosts are so warm and welcoming and the location and castle is exquisite. We went there on my birthday and we were greeted with white/red wine, coffee and charcuterie, perfect for the evening. Loved the house and room antique decor and to top it all, breakfast was freshly made to order and I was specially asked to select since am a vegetarian. Definitely recommend this place for a romantic getaway and family time amongst this beautiful garden and serene surroundings.
Lovely place. The location is perfect distance to everything we wanted to do. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The reason I can't give 5 stars is I was very excited for my room based on the photos I saw of it online while booking. I specifically picked this place because I wanted a room that looks antique. The bed and decor/color scheme we got was very different from the photos. The chandelier and armoire were the only two things that matched what I saw in the pictures online, unfortunately. I believe we stayed in Diamond Mountain room but it also could've been Howell.
We spent a week in california and thia was our favorite place to stay. The mansion is exquisite. The furnishings are incredible, undoubted²ly rare antiques. The owners are warm, inviting and friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Staying here, especially relaxing out on the huge porch is wonderful. The fragrance of the star jasmine is soothing and a wonderful morning wakeup when having coffee and their homemede cookies.
We were married at Churchill Manor & started off our honeymoon there too. The historical home & rooms are invitingly warm & cozy, the grounds have an array of flowers & Redwood trees for your visual pleasure, the staff was sweet & attentive, they have a just ask & you shall receive attitude, which is what a bride & groom need & truly appreciate. Thank you for cherished memories…
