Crowne Plaza® Portland Downtown - Convention Center

Great staff that were able to handle what felt like five big events going on. The Salade Niçoise from the hotel was light and refreshing after a long day of driving. The pool and hot tub were super clean and a great place to beat the heat. Access to the tram line is super close by and the location overall is great starting location for visiting Portland. There is expensive street parking, so I'd recommend parking at the Hotel. The city view rooms have a great view of Portland and are pretty comfortable. I'd totally visit again.

We booked this hotel for location proximity to Randall’s Children’s Hospital. Max was working the front desk, made it sound like he may have been filling in, answered all questions and went above and beyond to make our stay!! Thanks Max… then we ventured to dinner and a beer… we also found another Maximus bartending, he was polite and patient w our little. Service was accurate and efficient. Thank you Max. Then we visited the pool, had it to ourselves, clean, warming, and better yet-wasn’t out of service! This hotel is beautiful, the room was clean, bar and restaurant was updated and inviting. Looking forward to another stay

It's not horrible, but it's definitely showing age & lack of maintenance. I want a guest, but attended a function in several of the meeting rooms. Tech setup (audio/video/computers) was great, and front desk staff were helpful & cheery. But the building? Definitely 3* -- not unusable, but definitely nothing fancy.

We came to Portland for just one night and chose the Crowne Plaza for its ratings and close proximity to the venue we were going to. It's only about 15 minutes from the airport. We made our reservation on Expedia and paid less than $200 for a King room. It's in a very good downtown location. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Orion. The normal check-in time is 3pm and we arrived before 2pm, hoping for an early check in. Orion was happy to help and let us know that if we had an IHG hotel account, we could get an early check-in for free. And it's free to sign up for the account. We already had an account. He gave us a King room with a sleeper sofa. They gave us a very helpful information sheet that included lists of close restaurants, the fact that they have a $15 airport shuttle, etc. We were able to reserve a ride back to the airport on the shuttle very easily. They even let you check out bicycles for free. And they have a little shop next to the front desk that includes drinks, microwaveable meals, etc. It is available 24/7. They also have a "happy hour" breakfast from 6-7am for $8 a person. The room was spacious, very clean, and beautifully decorated. It included a tub/shower combo with high quality shampoos, lotion, etc. There was a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig with teas and coffees, an iron with an ironing board, and a steam iron. They also include a complete set of sheets and another comforter in case you need them. We also had a nice business desk and lamps with plenty of plugs in them for our phones and other devices. The bed and pillows were very comfy and supportive. We had a nice tv that had all the channels we could need and a very large dresser. In addition, there is free wifi along with late checkout, when available, if you have an IHG account. I included a picture of the sheet that they gave us with all the amenities available. I also included a picture of the lovely room service tray that we received. The meal was excellent and arrived very quickly. The lady from room service was also very nice, just like everyone we encountered who worked at the hotel. The hotel was very quiet and we never were interrupted. And someone is at the front desk 24/7 to help. We had a lovely stay and were able to relax at the Crowne Plaza. It is well worth the price and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Portland!

Attended the Amazing Art Expo in Portland at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Portland on the east side of the river. The expo runs today (Friday), Saturday, and Sunday. The venue is small but comfortable, feeling just right for the crowds (and it was relatively crowded tonight). We enjoyed meeting Mark Whitten (English voice of Rengoku), Griffin Burns (Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer), and Alex Vincent (voice of Andy Barclay in Chucky). We enjoyed viewing the prints and paintings. Good for a stroll, price was right for admission (free), and we purchased a signed print. Overall, this event and the venue did a great job.
