DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country

In all honesty, I like this hotel. The price is fair and the weather was great! Only draw back is that there was one person checking in all guest and a line started to form. It took about 25 minutes to get my room key. Maybe someone was on lunch?

I have mixed feelings about our stay at the DoubleTree in Rohnert Park. On the positive side, the front desk team provided excellent customer service, and checking in was a breeze. The front lobby is great—it feels very spacious, big, and has a warm, homey vibe. The landscaping and outside of the property are also beautiful and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves tell a different story. As soon as we walked in, the room smelled distinctly musty—like old carpet and stale feet. It was strong enough that we actually had to bring in our own air deodorizer and freshener just to make it comfortable. The room is incredibly outdated, and things like the towels and shower curtains are very old and have definitely seen better days. If you just look at the outside and the lobby, it’s a nice property, but the rooms are desperately overdue for a refresh.

The people and the services were great. The rooms are very outdated and could use some remodeling or at least some basic upgrades. There's popcorn ceilings, the bathroom sink was cracked and the bottom of the bathtub was yellowed. However the pricing for here is extremely high compared to the other hotels in the area.

We used this as a base for wine country. Close to many wineries, as well as, Santa Rosa, the hotel was pretty convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff even took an order for bar food although they had just closed, thank you. There's a small lobby bar along with the restaurant. Parking is free. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. Our room was also clean and comfortable.

After my most current stay I would have to tell everyone to never come here unless you like being disappointed or having bright lights in your face while you sleep. Upon check-in the lady was nice super sweet. But when I got to my room there were no blankets on the beds The closet door was broken and off the rail there was purple nail polish all over the bathroom floor, And when I called down to the front desk on three separate occasions nobody answered. Amenities were there but unable to be used. And apparently placing your smoke detector on the ceiling right above the bed so that the light flashes directly over anyone trying to sleep in the bed is the most ideal place for a smoke detector. If you are unsatisfied with your stay and you are honest about it and you express your honesty you are punished by Doubletree Hilton. I checked out at 2 AM because I was unable to sleep and not able to complete my stay and was denied a refund because of my Expedia post stay survey. Mind you I didn’t realize that that survey was public and I was honest about how upset I was. Because it was shared I was denied a refund. I would not trust any of these good reviews they were probably extorted out of them front desk manager Brian is extremely useless, terrible tone and probably the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.
