Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown

Really nice, clean newer hotel. The 2 room queen suite was perfect for our family of 4. We have older kids and giving 1 the couch bed gave us plenty of room. The bathroom was spacious and our particular room had a shower tub combo. We had room 529 and it was a good, quiet location and still had a nice view, it was city side but with mountains in the background. The rooftop restaurant is a fav spot and we’ve been here before. I am not big on pizza, but the family loved it and it was good for pizza. Lots of good white pizza options. The cocktails and desserts were top notch and I would go for them alone. The Garden Hugo Spritz and affogato were my favorite. The breakfast area was really nice. Only item to note is we did a digital checkin and key so we were not advised of the complimentary evening reception, which we missed so that was disappointing. I assume you need to get drink tickets from the front desk and confirm the times. Also it’s mandatory valet parking as are most places downtown.

That new hotel look and feel is nice. The rooms were super clean. The bathroom was nice, with a good amount of space on the counter, and the shower had several modes, and the water temperature was actually very hot, which is nice for a change. The small kitchenette didn't have a heat source other than a microwave, but that's ok. The mini sink and fridge are a nice touch, and having them all in the same area is convenient. The TVs are nice, and the sitting area is comfortable. The bed is really comfy, and I was surprised again by the mattress's firmness. I wasn't able to try the rooftop pizza lounge, but my room was also on the top floor, so I expect the same nice views. Parking is valet-only unless you arrive very late, when you'll have to park yourself (not a bad thing to me). The hotel is in a peculiar spot, so I suggest taking it slow to avoid missing the turn.

During the manager's reception, a huge crowd of people were at the hotel and the line for free drinks was quite long. BUT, there was this awesome bartender named IAN. He was seriously working hard to keep things moving smoothly. And he did it all with a smile and some positive vibes. He was not the only bartender but this does not spesk ill of him, only highlights the over and beyond service with joy! You could tell he really loves his job- even under pressure. When there was a mix-up with my room due to sales force, front desk manager Mr. Fry went above and beyond until the problem was fixed. He was also hustling around the busy lobby, being polite and flashing a smile. Even though these two guys weren't teenagers, they were still young enough to be my sons. And I'd be so proud to call them that. And let's not forget about the bar manager who made sure my food was hot and served on time. It was delicious. Tator tots were better than the fries and the regular burger a real burger! My room was always spotless and the hotel areas I visited were clean too. Lastly, there's the valet parking. While I do think it's a bit pricey for daily rates, they were super quick at retrieving the car when needed.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our weekend getaway trip from Virginia. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable and staffs were really welcoming. This hotel is very close to downtown and we could easily walk to downtown. Breakfast buffet was great with plenty of options and they had omelette station which is really convenient Complimentary reception drinks were welcome addition and we could relax and wind down our day. Roof top bar has really good pizza and the sunset view from there is amazing Overall we had great stay would highly recommend if you are visiting Asheville

I am staying weekly at this hotel for work and felt compelled to come and tell you if you want a safe, clean, efficient place to stay with amazing employees who make your experience a home away from home which is important when you are away from your family. The bar staff and the breakfast crew are great. The food presentation is beautiful and very tasty. The omelet station is wonderful. Some key staff to call out are Kelid, Phil, Michael, Brandi, Hailey and Emily. This is a perfect stay.
