Farmhouse Tap & Grill Burlington

The food was great, once it got to us. It took 46 min for our burgers and starter, and they served the starter with the entree. Had a drink that was acceptable. Their onion rings were fabulous. The kitchen staff seemed clean and working hard, couldn't say the same for the servers. Unfriendly and inattentive. Not a good look for the place, given the quality of everything else. I would not go back just because of the service. They acted like we were an inconvenience. It's too bad.

The server was really sweet and as attentive as they could be. They kept missing parts of our order, which was quite simple like a salad and a burger. We ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and it really missed the mark. The chicken had NO flavor, no seasonings, not even salt. The dressing didn’t taste good either. The burger was fine but definitely overcooked even though we got it medium. The tomato cucumber salad also wasn’t that tasty. The best part of the meal was the beer selection. the restaurant was kind and gave us a discount on our order because of the mishaps at least. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We got a takeout order from the Farmhouse. We have eaten at the restaurant before and the food is good, atmosphere is nice and the service is decent. I would not however ever get takeout here again. The portions were 1/2 size and full price. Two salads and cornbread came to 57.98 and we were still hungry after.

Outstanding food and service; you’ll likely need reservations. I happened to have the New England Fish Fry with the best ever cornbread I’ve ever had. It set the gold standard for me; a large, dense square, perhaps finished with a grill on both sides; simply incredible. The fish was certainly delicious too! We ate outside, evening, easy to have a conversation.

One of my favorite lunch spot in downtown Burlington. This establishment always have my favorite Allagash White Maine brewery on tap iced cold. Had the Laplatte River Angus Farm Beef 🥩 Burger. Excellently cooked to medium. Ordered with extra bacon 🥓 of course. Nicely paired with Raging Rabbit appetite 🐇 side of green salad 🥗 mix. Fine dining for a hard working contractor y’all. ❤️😎❤️😎❤️
