Flagler Steakhouse

Had a great time celebrating our Anniversary. Service was phenomenal. Thank you, Karla. It was a good dinner. Not our favorite in the island but we love the quiet ambiance. Perfect for Anniversart celebration.

Flagler Steakhouse is one of our favorite places for special occasions, and it never disappoints. Located right across from The Breakers, the atmosphere is elegant and welcoming—especially during the holidays, when it’s beautifully decorated for Christmas. Anything associated with The Breakers is always exceptional. The service is always top tier, even with a large family party. We ordered a variety of appetizers, steaks, desserts, and drinks, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. The staff handled our group flawlessly and made the evening feel truly special. An exceptional dining experience every time.

The Flagler Steakhouse is a part of the Breaker's Hotel Restaurants. It is not situated within the Hotel but rather across the street in its own building, complete with valet parking. The restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance. The staff, who are well-dressed, provide exceptional service and are extremely attentive and helpful. They offer a complimentary bread service to begin. To begin, I ordered the French Onion Soup, followed by the Filet Mignon as my main course, accompanied by Brussels sprouts as a side. We concluded our meal with Key Lime Pie for dessert. This is definitely a must-visit when in Palm Beach.

We arrived for dinner and had a few minute wait while they checked to make sure the table was ready and then led us to the table on the patio. It was dark while we were there, so the buildings in the distance were all lit up and it was a pretty view. For appetizers, I had the lobster corn soup and my wife had her go to, French onion. Both of us loved our appetizers, but those flat spoons are a pain and make eating the soup a chore. For mains, I ordered the ribeye medium and my wife the petite filet medium. My wife's filet came out as expected, my steak was medium on one side and as you cut through the steak it became more and more rare. For sides, we ordered the off the cob corn and the mushrooms. So our biggest problem was the flavor, or lack thereof. When I took my first taste of my steak (a piece that was cooked medium) I was instantly disappointed as there was no flavor. There was a tinge of a seasoning, but it reminded me of that stuff they put on steaks at Outback Steakhouse. Me being a total carnivore and steak lover, did not finish my meal and asked for a box. My wife also did not finish her filet as she said that it had no flavor. The mushrooms also were very bland, but the corn off the cob was great. I know it was just corn, but the salt they used made it so good!! We live in S FL and have been to all the great steakhouses here as well as most of the chains over time. We are happy to pay for great food and great experience, but with that comes expectation and Flagler fell short. The quality of food vs the price is greatly misaligned. I would honestly put Longhorn Steakhouse's ribeye above Flagler's any day of the week...it was that bland, boring and as I stated undercooked. The waitress never asked us how our meal was, if it was cooked to order, or anything. When we got home I realized I had not taken a picture of my steak to post, so I pulled out the left over container and snapped a photo before feeding the leftovers to the dog.

So let’s be honest back in the days I would have not been allowed in this restaurant because it’s inside of one of West Palm Beach’s prominent country clubs but on this day I was I was met with some strange looks but that’s OK. I’m used to it. I’m gonna start with the atmosphere totally amazing. My wife and I sat on the patio overlooking the golf course stunning views. Now I’m gonna move onto the service our waitress was super friendly, very attentive and overall a great waitress that provided great service. Now we’re gonna move onto the food. I ordered a bone in filet mignon the first time I’ve ever had a bone in filet mignon. The steak itself was $100. I ordered it medium rare when it came out the first time it was cooked well done my waitress being the doll that she was returned that steak to the kitchen and they cooked me another steak. when that steak came out, it was medium rare. I must say that the filet mignon with a bone in has a totally different flavor when it’s prepared properly this steak was absolutely amazing. It was like eating butter, baby. It melted in your mouth you barely even had to chew. It’s almost like it chewed itself for you and swallowed. I love steak and I must say that this has to be in my top five of favorite steaks that I’ve eaten anywhere in the world. Now we’re gonna move on to my wife’s steak burger, which is $45. By the way, my wife ordered it medium rare it came out just a little bit over medium rare but my wife says it was absolutely amazing. We ordered it with french fries just to play it safe french fries seasoned well when cooked well amazing so here’s what I’ll tell you if you’re not used to being stared at and you’re not used to being in awkward situations and you’re not used to going places where you don’t feel welcome. Then don’t go to Flager steakhouse it’s not for you but if you’re someone like me that loves awkward situations and grew up in places where he should’ve never been in the first place than hell walk in and enjoy a steak. Enjoy a great service and enjoy the stunning views of a golf course that you’ll probably never play on, but that’s OK because on this day, I felt like I was a part of something that I could never be a part of. So to Flagger Steakhouse and Breakers Country Club I would like to say Thank You. I had an Amazing Experience.
