The rooms were clean and comfortable. We did find that towels were scarce, but the housekeeping staff was generous when we asked, and they were equally helpful with coffee. One note: microwaves and refrigerators are only available on request and were all taken during our stay. It would have been helpful to know this at the time of reservation so we could have planned accordingly. But here's what really made our stay special: the night desk person, Madi. We nicknamed her "Ms. Sparkle" because she literally sparkled—cheerful, genuinely happy to help with anything, and radiating the kind of warmth and energy that makes you feel welcome. She responded promptly and effectively to every request. Madi absolutely deserves five stars. Hotel Encanto is a solid choice, but if you stay here, ask for Madi at the front desk. Her exceptional service transforms a decent hotel stay into a memorable one. We'll definitely return.
We booked our "rooms" a week in advance, both pool side. The day of we were told our room would be ready by 230. About 245 we received a call from the front desk stating that we would not be able to stay in one of the rooms due to there being a problem with the bathroom. We were told they could give us regular room but at the same price we were going to pay for the pool side room. No comp whatsoever for the inconvenience. We ended up staying at a different hotel. Very disappointing. Do better hotel E. Beautiful hotel but the property is not being properly maintained. There were plants still left in their containers in the courtyard that had not been planted yet. There was standing water laft in the larger plant outside our other poolside room which caused us to have lots of mesquitos. Overall very disappointing stay for the price. Will have to think about staying at this property again. This whole mess made my family's stay kinda sad. Didn't go as planned.
I never leave reviews like this, but my experience was completely unacceptable. After driving approximately 16 hours, I arrived exhausted and chose this hotel because of how beautifully it is advertised. Instead of checking into a clean room and finally resting, I was moved through three different rooms due to repeated cleanliness issues. I found hair and visible debris on and around the toilet, what appeared to be blood stains on the sink and comforter, and dust throughout the rooms. These were not minor cosmetic issues and immediately made me question whether the rooms had been properly cleaned or inspected. Staff initially attempted to address the bathroom, which I acknowledge, but the cleanliness issues continued even after I was moved. By the third room, which was still dirty, I was simply too exhausted to pack up and request a fourth room. I stayed because I needed sleep, not because the room was acceptable. What made the experience worse was the receptionist appearing annoyed by my requests to move, as though I was the inconvenience. I wasn't asking for an upgrade or special treatment. I was asking for a clean room. One dirty room may be a housekeeping oversight. Three dirty rooms points to a serious failure in housekeeping and quality control. I have photos documenting the conditions. Basic cleanliness is the bare minimum, especially at nearly $200 a night. Completely unacceptable, deeply disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel.
What a nice surprise. My small family was on a road trip and we happened to stay here for a single night last weekend. The pool was still open as well as the spa and we were quite impressed with the layout, temperature and overall comfortable environment. The staff was about the nicest and competent people I have met in a while. The rooms are up to date and clean. The furniture is oversize ranchito style and really made us feel like we were at a private casa. A big thank you to the staff for making our short stay so memorable.
I had been debating posting a review but at this point in time I’ve been thinking it and mulling it over and needed to post. We stayed Wednesday night at one of the pool/terrace rooms. Arrived, everything great so far, went to room, lowered AC temp (reading at 74), we left to eat. Came back AC was still not working, called front desk, stated they’d send maintenance (maintenance never came when we were there) and a fan for the meantime. Awesome! They even brought a microwave in because I asked if there were any where I could reheat food, loved that. We went down to pool area which I had been looking forward to because let’s be honest it’s a beautiful pool and greenery is gorgeous. I was not prepared for the amount of ants and mosquitos. Everywhere we stood for longer than 5-10 seconds, ants would be all over our feet. Whatever, I wanted to get in the pool which in and of itself was nice, a little chilly but nice. Went to hot tub area, the jets are on a timer so we turned it on, then we noticed how many dead bugs there were once the jets started. It’s ok, we splashed them out of the hot tub. The amount of MOSQUITOS that were just hovering waiting for the opportunity to suck us dry was insane. After about 10mins in there we had to leave, we were constantly swatting and splashing water on our heads and faces to keep them off (this is important for later). We get back to room, AC still isn’t working but we’re wet, doesn’t feel bad, I get in the shower. When I finally get out I notice none of the water in the shower had drained, so at this point my partner is like that’s it we need a new room. He goes to front desk, they do switch our room to a similar one, we carry all our things including the fan and microwave to the new room. AC worked fine, shower drained, no “new” issues. In the morning the front desk lady asked how everything was, my partner was honest, said we came to relax but had so many issues at the start it almost ruined it. Not once did she acknowledge what he just said, just said, ok well your total is….etc. Came off like she couldn’t be bothered or cared. It’s been a few days since our little vacation and my partner and I both have stayed in our eyes. I can only assume it was from the hot tub because he didn’t get in the pool, only I did the both the pool and hot tub. It’s sad because a night that was meant to be a quick little getaway/vacation before kids start school turned out awful. The staff had been great at the start and then it just felt like we were bothering them. Our first experience at hotel encanto was amazing, so this second time around really killed it for us. Please clean your hot tub and properly maintain the area outside the pool. One of these days a child is going to get eaten up by ants if they stand too long by the pool.
