Hotel Wailea

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We were immediately greeted on property by a friendly welcome and congratulations were given on our anniversary. The staff was extremely kind and courteous during our arrival. They gave us a break down of how things functioned and a quick showing of the property. We were taken to our room via golf cart and had our bags brought into the room without asking. The room amenities were extremely nice; updated, private, and clean. I was slightly disappointed that there were 0 snacks in the room as these rooms are $1,000+ a night. We asked about renting snorkeling gear and it was $30 per day per person, again. I find this rather unacceptable for the price of the stay especially when places like the snorkel store charge $30 per person for 2 weeks. The valets were kind, fast, and courteous. One last kudos to give was that they did give us chocolate covered strawberries and a hand written card as a memento for our 1 year anniversary which was greatly appreciated. There was one instances where my wife was dismissed by the front desk staff when asking for beach towels and told to ask the valets which I thought was rather unacceptable. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay. With all this being said; for $1k+ a night I expected more, I don’t believe that the property and amenities garner the price and we likely won’t be coming back.

This was an ideal spot for our honeymoon! The property is absolutely beautiful and is secluded from the crowds. It was a perfect escape from the tourism rush. The shuttles that take you around Wailea are very convenient - we had rides to restaurants, shopping and the beach. So, you don’t feel like you’re missing out by not being on the water. It’s perfect! It’s also so perfect on the property that we loved to stay by the pool. We would go do a few tourist excursions and then think, “let’s get back to our escape.” It never felt overcrowded like some of the ‘on the beach’ resorts can. Quiet and serene. Workout room is stunning, too. Service is wonderful and friendly - especially at the pool. Food was delicious (lots of yummy salads and cocktails by the pool). Cabanas are first come, first serve if not reserved, and we got one most days! Rooms are beautiful and well maintained - thank you, Jessica. They use a text system to check in on you during your stay which was very attentive and considerate. If any questions came up or concerns, they were quick to address it. They had complimentary mixology classes, coffee and desserts mornings, and workout classes throughout the week. They also went out of their way to congratulate and celebrate us. And, we will tell you… the celebrations ocean view suite was the cherry on top! We had fun relaxing on our balcony watching the sunset every night. They are very accommodating for late checkouts, too, and have a suite for guests to freshen up before their flights. I’d recommend this spot to couples looking for some relaxation in beautiful Maui and/or couples celebrating big life milestones. It was the highlight of Maui and so worth the price!

What can I say to possibly capture our experience at Hotel Wailea? I’ll do my best to craft a picture. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights at the resort and every bit of the experience was unlike anything we had ever had before. From the moment we arrived on site, the check in process was seamless and warm. They provided us champagne as they talked us through the grounds and walked us over the most breathtaking restaurant called “The Birdcage. We arrived ahead of our check in time but the room was already available. We didn’t life a finger as we headed to our suite. The suites are well equipped with tons of amenities (free soda, and spindrift restocked every day) a bottle of champagne and chocolate to commemorate our anniversary, and absolutely spotless furniture. We headed over the 24/7 pool area and once again were waited on hand and foot. We could’ve hung out at the pool all day. The gym area was nicely equipped and open air for incredible views while you worked out. We did a complementary morning yoga session, which was only a small chunk of the total amenities. We had drivers take us anywhere in Wailea at a moments notice and if we needed anything at all we could text a phone number and it was handled. The best part of the experience was that it was adults only, which meant total peace and quiet for our entire stay. We had a late flight out and they allowed us to refresh in a complementary hospitality suite. 10/10 would come back to this resort a thousand times.

Our stay at Hotel Wailea was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon, the entire team went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had an amazing stay. We especially want to thank the Hotel Wailea team for accommodating our requests and making every detail feel effortless. The beautiful property, peaceful atmosphere, outstanding service, and attention to detail created the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was an incredible in-room massage arranged by the hotel with Ron from Ho’omana Spa Maui. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The experience was relaxing, seamless, and perfectly coordinated by the Hotel Wailea team. Being able to enjoy such an amazing Lomi Lomi massage in the comfort and privacy of our room made our honeymoon even more special. Hotel Wailea exceeded our expectations in every way. We are leaving with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon so amazing and unforgettable. Mahalo!

No pretense. No hype. Comfort and solitude. Concierge/valet staff is TOP NOTCH. Always there, always ready to help, always equipped. Friendly and sincere. What a great service! Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, casual, helpful with no overdone or cloying behavior you sometimes encounter in a high-end service environment. This made us feel very comfortable and at-home.
