JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa

Went to brunch for a friend’s birthday today. Our waitress went out of her way to make her birthday special with candles and yogurt parfait before breakfast was served and lovely warm pastry with two delicious sauces (chocolate and prickly pear) for dipping after breakfast. We didn’t stay at the hotel but the views and pools look amazing. The food was delicious and the service outstanding!

JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass continues to set the standard for what a luxury resort experience should be. From the moment we arrived, every interaction was exceptional. The front desk team was welcoming and professional, the rooms were beautiful, and the entire property was impeccably maintained. What stood out most during this visit was the incredible level of customer service throughout the resort. Alejandro Oropeza exemplified true hospitality by going above and beyond to ensure guests could enjoy the NBA Finals, personally finding a solution that turned a potential disappointment into a memorable experience for dozens of guests. His leadership, attentiveness, and ability to make guests feel valued are truly remarkable. The pool beverage team, especially Sophia, was outstanding. Despite working in triple-digit Arizona heat, the entire staff remained positive, attentive, and dedicated to providing excellent service. Their energy and commitment did not go unnoticed. We were equally impressed by the bell staff, particularly Gianni and Brian, who consistently provided friendly, professional, and helpful service throughout our stay. My family and I have been visiting this property for nearly 15 years, and I can honestly say I have never seen employee morale higher than it is today. The positive culture is evident everywhere you go, and it is clear that the General Manager and leadership team have created an environment where employees are engaged, motivated, and genuinely care about the guest experience. This visit reminded us why JW Marriott Starr Pass remains one of our favorite destinations. The entire team deserves recognition for delivering a first-class experience and making guests feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. We look forward to returning again and again.

My wife and I checked in around 3pm and we were helped by Jennifer McGregor who was such a delight. Her welcoming, smile, professionalism, just stood out. Marriott has a gem of an employee with Jennifer. She noticed that I was a dedicated Bonvoy member and that it was my anniversary weekend. She was kind enough to waive my parking fee. Starr Pass is my go to resort in Tucson because of its location, amenities and the wonderful staff on board.

I'm not a high society kind of person I feel that this hotel charges a lot of money for everything I don't want to come off as cheap but man. We ordered room service one time it took over an hour to get our food and it was cold. The pool was probably the best part of the stay. We did a self park to save about $10 over Valet parking for about $30 but I had to walk to the other side of the world to get to the room. Me myself I don't mind the walk but for someone that has problems walking long ways I would hope you have the money for the valet. Enough said, I'm in no hurry to visit this place again

Starr Pass is always one of our favorite spots when we're in Tucson. We've stayed here over many years, and it was nice to see it getting a face lift during our last visit. Unfortunately the construction have the hallways a stinky "wet dog" smell, but the new rooms were quite neat and modern. The Starbucks is no longer there, which was a major bummer, as the small market did not have great options, and the food is very mediocre. The ice cream is yummy though. The scenery is always breathtaking, and the pools, lazy river, and views are wonderful, and the poolside service is always great.
