Kiawah Island Golf Resort

I am updating the review due to Kiawah Resort reaching out to me and providing a 50% refund and a discount off of my next stay with them. As I stated in the original review, the employees of this resort are very professional and they demonstrate that even after you check out. Do your diligence on the villa you rent and have comfort that they'll make matters right. We rented a beach villa--a townhouse on the beach--through the resort as you get the use of the facilities when you rent through them. I also had comfort that the resort accommodations would be nice. The townhouse was terrible and would not survive if on VRBO or AirBnB. All of the rugs had large and numerous stains in them that appear to be dog excrement that had been cleaned with a spot cleaner. Not one or two spots, but dozens in all of the rugs. The bathrooms were straight out of 1990 builder grade and the doors did not align so they did not close. Small item like there were no condiments, not even salt and pepper, and the AC unit was so small it was incapable of cooling the house. On the good side the view was great and they did provide adequate soap and shampoo in the showers. There is no public rating other than on third party sites like this so you cannot assess the property as you can on AirBnB or VRBO. The resort itself is super and the employees are top notch. We did not experience a single employee I would not rate as excellent.

I had an incredible time staying here; the entire resort feels like a luxurious escape from reality. Everything from the room to the golf course was top-notch, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Whether you're looking to play a round of golf or just relax by the pool, this place is absolutely worth the trip.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this resort rental property. The unit was very old and dated, with stained and mismatched furniture that looked nothing like the “luxurious” experience that was advertised. The entire property felt dirty upon arrival — there was visible dust throughout, filthy walls and baseboards, and the bathrooms and kitchen were not properly cleaned. On top of that, the unit had a strong musty smell that made the stay even more unpleasant. The kitchen was poorly stocked with mismatched dishes and glassware, which added to the overall lack of quality and attention to detail. After we raised our concerns, the staff assured us the property would be deep cleaned. Unfortunately, they failed to follow through, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We expected much better customer service and accommodations for the price we paid. The cleaners who did show up blamed the management and stated they get complaints all the time about this. Overall, this property was poorly maintained and did not meet expectations. This place needs to be updated!

What a challenging course but also fun too. Wildlife was all over the place and you were able to see plenty of nice houses along the course. A bucket list ouring for sure. The wind is definitely an impact to account for as it is consistently blowing. Our forecaddy was very helpful, especially when it got dark on the last two holes. we played to the final light fell out of the sky. It was an amazing way to end the round, only trusting our spotter to see the balls when they landed.

Absolutely amazing we’re the most beautiful places. I think I’ve ever been scenery wise. I’ve never been a beach person, but this is upscale, beautiful, secluded and guarded island of paradise. If you were lucky enough to own a home on Kiawah Island, you have been blessed the only drawback to the beautiful homes and all the security and beautiful people is the ALLIGATORS. Yes, I said. ALLIGATORS. One lady who was visiting Q Island, a couple of years ago is no longer with us because of alligators a gentleman‘s pet dog had eaten by another alligator. You will see the video on my trip on the very first day I encountered eight alligators God forbid you have a small child Ragna tricycle riding a bike, they could become lunch special. There are signs everywhere do not put the alligators. If I pay 10 or $12 million for a house then be round up to gators and take me to Florida. I think it’s called the Florida gators. There’s a reason they called the gators and they all need to be down there and other gators to have happy home. Enjoy the video.
