Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel

WiFi was absolutely horrible. I couldn’t get any work done with it. I had to hot spot from my phone. I couldn’t connect my iPad to the hotel WiFi at all. No Netflix or any apps easily available on the TV’s. Lots of construction on the roads around the hotel made it difficult to get to. Especially with one way streets. Valet parking workers were fast/efficient. Beds were comfortable and clean. The A/C system was nice and quiet. Also, No microwave?!?!? No iron? Room had a clothes steamer, not a fan. Couldn’t get my button down nice and crispy. Pool was nice and warm. Pool attendant was nice.

We had an amazing time at the hotel pool! Renting a cabana made the day so relaxing, and we had such a wonderful experience. A special thank you to John, who took great care of us throughout the day. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. His exceptional service truly made our visit even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

The Cottonwood Hotel is our favorite hotel in Nebraska! We have been coming here for years, since the hotel reopened! Allie the Front Desk Manager always makes my Mom and I feel so welcomed! Ashley is the sweetest in the coffee shop and so genuinely kind! Emma & Kerry at the front desk are so thoughtful! Lance and Tai in the New Orleans restaurant give the best service! John & Austin at the pool are the best! Ty in housekeeping is very nice!

Beautiful hotel, great restaurant & staff. Here’s what could be better:: 1). The guest rooms are DARK!! Trying to work at the desk isn’t great because lighting is so low and not enough lamps in the room. (Bathroom lighting is good) 2). Beds could use new mattresses. And having a pillar literally at the foot of the bed is a weird place to put a structural pillar. 3). Overall , beautiful hotel and good experience.

I've stayed at the Kimpton Cottonwood numerous times over the last 5 years. The many changes that have been made recently, within the last 3-4 months were disappointing. Two of the most noticeable, the inability to use the Fontanelle Room and the many changes to the Pool Club. The Fontanelle Room, the courtyard looking area near the front desk of the hotel, was preset for afternoon tea our entire stay and 'off use' to hotel guests. It is a gorgeous space and a wonderful area to enjoy your morning coffee, breakfast, or to get a bit of work or reading in. To make it closed to all hotel patrons for a select handful of people who 'might' make a tea reservation is a waste of beautiful space within the hotel. I was also disappointed to see the new policy for needing to pay to reserve most of the chairs at the Pool Club. At $100 per chair, $200 for a couple... per day, the cost is astronomical when added onto the price of your room. It is a 'Vegas' policy in the middle of Nebraska. If you want to be Vegas, you need to implement a 'no children' policy at the pool. Essentially, the Cottonwood Pool Club is no longer an 'amenity' with your room. Unless you are lucky enough to secure one of the 12-14 free chairs that remain at the pool. You had a great thing going on... I only wish it could have lasted.
