Lake Elsie Wedding Barn

I don't even know where to begin with Lake Elsie Wedding Barn. This venue, these amazing owners, the superb food, and the overall environment was everything that we needed on our Wedding day. I came across their venue before I was even engaged due to my friends and I having a girls weekend planned at their bed and breakfast. It was so fun and the owners were so kind that when my husband and I started the planning of our wedding; I knew exactly where to look. The entire planning process was so easy, communication was clear and consistent, and the level of professionalism that Sandy and her staff has.. is a breath of fresh air! Sandy and Marshall truly care about each Wedding and do absolutely everything they can to ensure that it goes off without a hitch. I was able to find an amazing florist through Sandy along with using many of the pieces that they had available in their barn. I am a forever guest, and will DEFINITELY find myself back at this establishment for the many activities they have to offer. I am still hearing (Months after) how gorgeous the venue was and how perfect the layout felt. We had about 200 guests and with having so many different areas for everyone to socialize and pass time; it didn't feel over populated or crowded. The pictures had great backdrops, and the water brought an amazing breeze to the warmth of an August day. No other venue can also beat the stay that they offer to the bride and groom along with the wedding party. Every other Venue in the Fargo area gives you no time to truly enjoy and soak in the experience before they're pushing you and your stuff out the doors as the reception is wrapping. The fact that Lake Elsie Wedding Barn offers Friday through Sunday is UNHEARD of! If you are looking for a stress-free, beautiful, and relaxing wedding venue with food that is to die for... this is your place.

My husband and I just got married in July and we couldn't have asked for a better venue! It was very nice to be able to stay on site the whole weekend. We had our rehearsal dinner right on the lake front. We had games set up in the grass and they allowed extra tables for our guests. It was such a great time and so nice to be able to celebrate all weekend long. The staff were so friendly and everything ran smoothly. Anything I asked about or wanted, Sandy was able to help happen. The owners have big hearts and want the best of each wedding but also for the couple and their families. Thank you so much for the amazing wedding experience!

Beautiful place for a wedding. The outdoor space was very unique and perfect for us. The venue was nice and intimate. Great views, and a perfect indoor space for a reception and dance. Sandy was easy to work with and accommodating for requests.

Lake Elsie Wedding Barn is absolutely beautiful + the staff is so kind! From the getting ready area, to the ceremony area with a lake view, to the barn, to the gorgeous white tent for the reception! There is so much greenery for photos and upstairs in the barn makes for stunning dance photos at the end of the night! As a wedding photographer, I would highly recommend this venue. It is truly one of my favorites!

Sandy and Marshall at Lady on the Lake/Colonel Hankinson's Historic Barn were beyond wonderful to work with! Everything was so easy to set up and do. There was little to no stress the day of. The only confusion we had during the process was some communication errors throughout the process. Some prices and potential "add on's" were not communicated correctly via e-mail. Those have since ALL been corrected for new incoming brides as they now have a great, detailed contract in place! This place allows for 3 options for the ceremony, one overlooking a lake. The reception was so beautiful upstairs and we had SO many compliments on everything, especially the venue. The groom, I and 3 other couples were staying on the property which made things so much easier to handle with getting ready and grabbing last minute things. I would recommend this place to anyone and EVERYONE. Thank you so much for being a huge part in making out dream come true and sharing your absolutely stunning venue!
