Lantana Lookout at The Laiken

My fiancé and I toured Laiken Lago Vista last week and booked our special day! Jennifer was amazing, she listened to our vision, answered all our questions, and never rushed us. The venue is stunning. We left feeling confident and excited, knowing this is exactly where we’re meant to start our forever. We feel beyond blessed that God led us to this moment and to a venue that has everything we ever dreamed of for our wedding day. We absolutely cannot wait to celebrate our love at The Laiken! Thank you once again, Jennifer, you rock!

This place is made from nightmares. You’ll see on their response to Celissa’s review they are trying to reassure her by saying “they are hosting events scheduled to take place before her wedding.” This is exactly what they’ve been saying to everyone since early 2024. I too was told construction would be complete before my Sept. 2025 wedding because there were MANY weddings scheduled for early Spring. I foolishly believed them and chose them as my venue, just to be met with dishonestly throughout the entire process. They dodged my emails for months asking for updates on construction. I had to drive there myself to discover it was essentially still dirt with a few beams up. Despite this, they still tried convincing me it would be 100% ready in 3 months. At that point, I had enough. I knew that wasn’t true and knew I had to get out of this before my whole wedding was cancelled. While battling them for my refund, I had a call with the VP of Walter Wedding Estates. He had the audacity to say it is the “fault of the couples who signed a contract for a venue still under construction” and we were not entitled to a refund. Thankfully we eventually got it after some persistence. Others had to sign an NDA to receive their refunds which speaks volumes. This was February of 2025. Sure enough, the venue still isn’t ready and the same situation is happening to others a whole year later (as seen in recent reviews). This company is predatory and I urge all brides to run for the hills. Thankfully I was able to get the refund and find a venue for the same date since I caught on to what was happening 6 months before my wedding. If you are looking for a venue and team that handles brides with the utmost professionalism, I highly recommend “The Arlo.” They were absolutely amazing and supported me through each and every step.

While I have not personally experienced issues because I have had no contact myself, I witnessed the trauma and stress my friend and his bride-to-be endured at the hands of this venue. The venue is undoubtedly fabricating positive reviews to enhance its online reputation on Google, and I urge caution when considering these reviews given that the venue hasn't hosted any actual weddings. The construction period, which has dragged on for years, further underscores the need for careful evaluation. Meanwhile, the company has collected payments from clients without delivering services.

Avoid this place!!!! They will charge your card for accommodations for a wedding they postponed and make you run in circles to get it back. No one answers the phone. How does that even happen?! You postpone a wedding but don’t update the reservations for guests? You also send them a get ready to check in email for a venue / lodging that isn’t open. This place is laughable. Read the reviews and search for what they have done to all these couples. Shame on you.
