The location of this hotel is its biggest highlight! It’s within walking distance of Princeton University and many lovely cafes, which made exploring the area very easy and enjoyable. While the building is not new, the room was kept very clean. However, there are a few things future guests should know: • Security: Be careful—after unlocking with the card, the door doesn't seem to lock automatically from the inside. I felt a bit uneasy about potentially forgetting to lock it. • Amenities: I stayed for two nights, and while the bed was made daily, the shampoo and conditioner weren't refilled. If you have medium-to-long hair, I’d suggest bringing your own or buying some at a nearby shop. Also, there was no refrigerator or slippers provided. • Facilities: The hairdryer was a bit weak. Regarding the bathtub, I struggled to figure out how to drain it. For the shower, the hot water takes a while to kick in, but once it does, it’s nice and hot—even in the cold winter! • Service: The female staff at the front desk weren't particularly welcoming and didn't offer greetings. I wasn't sure if that's just their usual style, but it didn't feel very friendly. Overall, it's a great base for visiting Princeton, provided you come prepared with your own amenities.
My brother got married at the Nassau this weekend. All the staff, and service workers were exceptional, and the venue was beautiful. I would recommend this beautiful location and historical inn to anyone interested for an event, or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind.
Absolutely fabulous stay. Quiet, comfortable, and cozy. Princeton is a very nice town. The people at the inn are very friendly and helpful. Specifically, an employee, Elisabeth was extremely helpful and kind in assisting my caregiver and myself. A sincere thank you to their staff.
While the hotel is centrally located, we didn’t have a great experience. Our rooms weren’t very clean and housekeeping never bothered to clean our room despite being there for three days. The people at the counter weren’t very friendly and the woman there on Saturday morning was downright miserable. I also ordered room service, which came quickly but the espresso was ice cold and the food was not good: runny omelette and cold potatoes, dry and cold toast.
Definitely the worst experience ever happened!!! The hotel staff didn’t tell us that there was a power works outside the hotel that night and put us in the room right above the noisy car. We couldn’t sleep at night and I went down to the front desk asking for a room change. At that time, there were already several other people waiting to change the room. The worst is that they changed us to another room with really cold attitude and double charged me for two rooms without any advanced notice again! Don’t choose this hotel unless you want to be disappointed and make this the worst thing happened to you while your beautiful stay at Princeton. Just don’t.
