Absolutely beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. We thought the food was wonderful. We enjoyed walking around the immaculate grounds. Our room was nice and our view was top notch! We couldn't have asked for a better experience to celebrate our anniversary. I highly recommend the Omni Barton Creek! Two staff members that made such a difference during our stay was Sam and Jolene. The Omni is lucky to have such amazing staff like them that go up and above to make their guests feel so welcome. We are looking forward to our next stay.
My husband and I escaped to Omni Barton Creek for a weekend to relax, reconnect, and get away from the hustle of everyday life—and it was exactly what we needed. Before we even arrived, I called to ask about spa day passes after learning they were sold out. Amon went above and beyond to make it happen for us, and that level of customer service set the tone for the entire stay. Our first room was on the older side of the resort near the elevators, and unfortunately it was very noisy. Draya immediately took care of us by moving us to a beautiful room on the 7th floor of the newer side of the resort. The following day, the staff even checked on us via text and surprised us with wine and chocolates as a thoughtful courtesy for the inconvenience. While the walls can be a little thin, the staff more than makes up for it with genuine hospitality and outstanding customer service. Dining at Blind Salamander was one of the highlights of our trip. Berry provided exceptional service and made us feel so welcome. The chef’s special was absolutely delightful, the beet salad was a surprising standout, and honestly, everything we ate was phenomenal. The complimentary nightly s’mores were such a thoughtful and romantic touch that made ending the evening even more special. Jim Bob’s Lounge quickly became one of our favorite places on the property. The live music created such a fun, relaxing atmosphere and was the perfect way to unwind after a day by the pool. The bartenders were outstanding—personable, welcoming, and incredibly talented. Andrew recreated my favorite cocktail from Omni Frisco perfectly. If you’re visiting and enjoy refreshing, fruity drinks, ask him for the “Golden Hour” (or “Jessica’s Drink”)—he absolutely nailed it! One of the most unexpected highlights was finding the hidden 3D-printed creatures scattered throughout the resort. It added a fun little adventure to our walks and made exploring the property even more enjoyable. The views throughout the property are absolutely breathtaking, and the peaceful setting made it so easy to disconnect from city life and truly recharge. Every staff member we encountered was kind, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay special. We also loved the Southern charm displayed by so many of the guests we met. The only part of our stay I probably wouldn’t do again is purchasing the spa pass. The spa itself was nice, but the saltwater pool was smaller than expected, and I didn’t feel the experience justified the cost. We only spent about three hours there, and honestly, I would have rather put that money toward relaxing with drinks at the adults-only pool and tiki bar, which was just as peaceful. Overall, the resort was clean, beautifully maintained, and provided exactly the relaxing getaway we were hoping for. We will absolutely be back—next time to spend even more time on the nature trails, soak in the beautiful scenery, and disconnect from everyday life once again.
Not very impressed. I’ve stayed at other Omni’s before but this one was very underwhelming. Everything took a long time, whether it was the food, drinks, asking questions or just waiting to be seated. I ordered an appetizer for my group at the pool and it took 2 1/2!hours to come out. I went back up to my room before it came out and the rest of my group ate it. Dinner at Bobs was just ok. All the food was great but the service was horrible. And for the price you pay for dinner I’d expect service to be better. I’m not saying that this is a bad hotel, maybe it was just a bad weekend for them, but I was disappointed as this isn’t a cheap hotel. I promise I am not a normal complainer, I just thought I’d say something.
Hotel is nice. Location is pretty in the hills outside Austin. Good views. Pools are meh. Rectangles about 4 feet deep. The cabanas are a joke. Very expensive for a glorified umbrella. Ours didn't have a fridge and it took an hour to get one and they stocked it with hot beverages. There isn't a TV, and it's open on all sides. Service was no better than any of the regular pool chairs, maybe worse. It took an hour and fifteen minutes to get kids burgers and they came out wrong. Another ten minutes to get one of them. After ten more minutes we just canceled the 2nd order. The raw tuna dish had tough striations through the meat, indicating they didn't know how to cut the fish properly for that kind of dish. We came on July 4th weekend, and they had one of the restaurants operating at half capacity, so the food options were more limited than usual. Breakfast was good. We ordered menu and tried the buffet, and were happy with both. Firework show was surprisingly great. Kids loved the arcade! Has classic games and foosball. The air hockey was out of order. The fitness facility was great! Has just about everything one could want. Cardio, machines, free weights, small "track", crossfit room, and yoga room. We didn't use the indoor pool, spa, or sauna. We would likely spend our money elsewhere due to the service, food, and pools, given the price point.
Beautiful resort, overall amazing staff, and everything was very well maintained/clean. Anthony at the front desk, Manager Robert and AJ at the pool side were fantastic. The only challenging thing at times was dinning. The restaurants were extremely busy, therefore wait time to be served and/or receive your meal was longer than we wished but understandable considering we stayed at Omni Barton Creek during a busy holiday weekend.
