My bf and I drive an hour actually just to come to this Kava bar. It’s a great date night, cozy, and they have board games to play for free :) Jimmy makes the best pizzas in town here!!! The Kavatenders and owners are very sweet people and so welcoming to newcomers!!! The vibe is the best; quiet, cozy, and even when a lot of people are there it’s very easy to still talk. I really enjoy the idea of the sober part of this. Not a lot of Kava places stick to the sober bar part and it’s amazing and brings in a great crowd.

First time here and I loved it! I have been to every other kava kava bar in town and this one is hands down the best. The quality of their kava is unmatched and the portion sizes are huge for the price. The mocktails are out of this world and our kava tender was the most helpful , sweetest ever. I can tell that this place truly cares about their clients, something I did not feel at any of the other kava bars. I will keep coming back and bringing more friends.

What a pleasant surprise off of the “beaten path “. The irony of Square Rut Kava is that the 290 construction has seemingly hidden this gem but it is sure to be discovered by many because once you step inside you’ll never leave. Having never tried the magic elixir I was unsure about stepping inside but once I did I got an education about the liquids benefits from the owner who not only educated me but gave me a sample. But this is more than just Kava and it is not a bar in the traditional sense - they have amazing coffee and pizza to die for Thursday- Saturday. The vibe is cool hipster California eatery gets with a Nee Orleans Speakeasy. The laidback atmosphere is perfect for getting work done using their banger wifi and most importantly they dont mind if you hang out from opening to close. Great place to meet friends or have an important business meeting. They also are artist friendly with an amazing venue in the back - Im looking forward to their shows. If you’re stuck in a rut and need to find a feel good spot - mix it up and hit up SquareRut Kava Bar!

The baristas are always so nice and accommodating and they know how to make a good latte! The coffee is always so fresh and delicious and always consistent. I appreciate too that they’re so close to our neighborhood and the atmosphere is so aesthetically pleasing while also offering a great outdoors area and playground to bring my daughter

We live right down the road and always come by for coffee in the morning(which is always amazing and service is always great) but this time we decided to swing by for the pizza... let me tell you yall... when it comes to quality and cost, you can NOT beat it!!! Jimmy took time to cook each pizza we had with care, the ingredients are fersh, and that brick oven taste was amazing!! And dont get me started on the garlic knots and smores desert pie! You cannot find quality and quantity like this for a low price In austin anymore! Great for families because we know how quick the cost can go up going out to eat!!! Highly recommend!!!
