The Bill Moore Student Success Center, Georgia Tech

If you're applying to Georgia Tech, or coming for a campus tour, this building will be your front door. It's a really nice introduction to the Institute. When I was a student here, the old Knowles Building was still standing in this location. Despite being one of Georgia Tech's oldest buildings (built in 1898), it was demolished to make room for this much newer building. Snag a parking space in the deck across North Avenue that is connected by a pedestrian bridge.

We travelled from Texas (my son is an applicant for fall '25) for a campus visit. The campus tour was great. However, we were disappointed when we stopped by the Bill Moore center where the undergraduate admissions office is... The student working at the reception had a "I don't want to be here" attitude. He wasn't very helpful at all, didn't have any answers to our queries, didn't offer to get someone else to speak to us, and felt like he didn't even want to talk to us. We felt very unwanted / out of place. That encounter took the shine off of what was an otherwise great tour of the GaTech campus.

The Bill Moore student success center at Georgia Tech is an exceptional facility that offers a wide range of resources and services to help students achieve academic success and career readiness. From academic coaching and tutoring to leadership development programs and study abroad opportunities, the center has everything a student needs to excel both in and outside of the classroom. The staff at the center is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to help students achieve their goals. I particularly appreciated the center's commitment to supporting underrepresented student populations, ensuring that every student has access to the resources and support they need to succeed.
