The Joinery

The Joinery is one of the coolest places in Chicago to have a wedding! I'm a wedding photographer, and I also live in Logan Square. I'm always so excited when I get to capture a wedding here. It's a unique space with creative, beautiful details and architecture. I have found that we don't even have to go anywhere else for portraits of the wedding party; there are enough cool nooks and crannies to use right there. I can't wait to be back!

We got married at the Joinery in August 2025 and loved it. The space is beautiful and the vibe was exactly what we wanted. We were looking for something with character and that was naturally beautiful and interesting without too much added decor. Shay was wonderful to work with and the space worked perfectly for our guest count ~100. It was the first venue we toured and we knew immediately it was where we wanted to get married. We loved the indoor and outdoor spaces equally which was important to us. We loved the outdoor patio and it was even more built out by the time we got married, the speakeasy upstairs, and that we could BYOB alcohol. The cherry on top is the Millhouse next door which we also rented for the weekend and was where our immediate families stayed and I got ready morning of. Having that space allowed us to bring all of the decor and other items we needed next door in advance and our wonderful coordinator was able to set up everything day of and bring it back at the end of the night. I'm not sure how we would have managed the transport of all these things otherwise, so this was an added benefit we hadn't considered in advance. Having everyone next door also made it so easy throughout the weekend and the house is spacious and well kept. Shay and the Joinery team were wonderful and we have nothing but good things to say about the Joinery!

Our October 2025 wedding was a DREAM thanks to The Joinery and the venue's entire team. Shay is a natural and made our wedding process as easy as can be - even after a date change! Molly brought our bar package to life with delicious signature drinks and late-night mini martinis. All the recommended vendors were a delight to work with and held up to The Joinery's standards of service. We wish we could throw another party here ASAP! Interacting with the team and having time in the gorgeous space made our once-in-a-lifetime moment complete. WE LOVE YOU, THE JOINERY!

My wife and I got married at The Joinery 10/17/25 and we are SO glad we chose it as our venue. We loved all of the different spaces that were available- we ended up renting the house next door for two nights and added an extra night at the apartment so both wedding parties had space to get ready in. And, we lucked out with incredible weather so we were able to enjoy a beautiful cocktail hour outside on the patio. Shay was an excellent venue manager. She was very professional and communicative throughout the planning process. She provided great vendor recommendations and our team came together to put on a seamless event. Shay went above and beyond during our rehearsal/decor unload when I heard the unfortunate sound of shattering glass. We lost a box of hurricane vases and Shay immediately started scouring the venue for any extras they had around. We really appreciated how involved she was and how evident it was that she cared about our wedding! We used the in house bar service which was amazing. The drink selection was great and we loved being able to select unique signature drinks. We appreciated the time and effort Molly put in to creating drinks we both loved. Guests raved about the venue and drinks all night! I could go on and on about all of the things we loved about The Joinery but I will simply say that booking it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process.

My spouse and I got married at the Joinery in November 2025. The venue was the perfect size, the white brick and exposed wood complement so many types of decor. We loved all the nooks and crannies of the venue, from the container spaces outside to the upstairs bar. The beautiful wooden tables were arranged in long communal rows, creating the crowded table feel that we envisioned! Our guests loved their time here! We used the space as a reception with an offsite ceremony earlier in the day - but we know that either configuration is easily handed by the team! Shay, Katherine, and Molly were wonderful to work with and patient with all of our questions leading up to the big day. I loved following The Joinery on Instagram in the months leading up to the wedding see what other couples did in the space. Highly recommend!
