The Mutiny Hotel

Location is fantastic. There is no parking available except for valet at $30 a night. The rooms are very nice and clean but the beds are very uncomfortable pillows are mini pillows need 3 to make 1 regular size. Water in room is $6 a bottle so bring your own. Pool area is very seren,e tranquil. Taco bar is very good, friendly very attentive staff great drinks delivered pool side. If you need a tranquil spot to read catch up on work while being able to enjoy the ocean breeze this is a cool spot. Overall great value. Will return.

This place deserves better reviews! The hotel itself is an interesting history piece, just look it up. The grounds themselves are really beautiful, particularly the pool area. It’s very well maintained and clean, and so was the hot tub. There’s also a very nice waterfall next to it with fish in it and orchids hanging from the trees. The hotel is slightly older but well maintained for its age. The rooms are apartment style rooms with full kitchens, multiple rooms, balconies, and even washer and dryers! It’s incredibly close to tons of restaurants and bars, and also close to the bay and parks. The real cherry on top is the staff. So far everyone has been absolutely accommodating and polite, from the front desk staff and security to the restaurant and valet staff. I am staying for a week and had a slight issue with my room, however the staff (I believe the manager helped me) immediately stepped up and switched rooms for me which instantly fixed my issue, despite this being an incredibly busy week for Miami. Truly a hidden gem in a sea of mediocre Miami hotels, I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at The Mutiny Hotel, but it didn’t quite match the “luxury” description on the website. The property feels more like a residential style hotel, with individually owned condos that vary in décor and condition. We met some residents while we were there and they were very friendly. So expect a mix of guests and residents. Feels more like you are using your cousin’s condo for the week or weekend, which is not always a bad thing. When booking, it’s definitely helpful to communicate your expectations clearly. Our initial room (209) felt dated and overlooked the parking lot. After requesting a change, we were moved to room 406/408 (not certain which), which was much brighter, more updated, and had a pleasant pool view. This made a noticeable difference in our experience. That said, even in the improved room, there were a few concerns. The mattress had noticeable wear and felt like it was sinking. While the space appeared clean at first glance, the floors could have been better maintained. The bathtub also has a very high step-in with no grab bars, and the surface is quite slippery, something guests of all ages should be cautious about. This particular unit was a big upgrade from 209 for sure. I wouldn’t call it luxury, but it was comfortable. The balcony doors were in need of some cleaning, but the balcony was peaceful and was surrounded by trees and looked over the pool. A helpful tip: odd-numbered rooms tend to face the parking lot, while even-numbered rooms generally offer more appealing views, many overlooking the pool. On the positive side, the property was quiet, and the pool area was enjoyable. Parking is available on-site for $30 per day. The security staff member we encountered was especially friendly and helpful. The check-in experience was fine, though a bit more warmth and clarity in communication (the person was so soft spoken you couldn’t hear them) would have made it feel more welcoming. Overall, this can be a good option depending on the price point per night, but it may not meet expectations for a luxury stay.

Had a great stay at the Mutiny! The large suite was perfect for me and my 8 month old. It was so convenient to have the extra space and the washer/dryer! The pool area is so lovely and the whole staff was very friendly. My only downside is the rooms could use an update, funny having all the dark wood, antique furniture and dingy carpeting in a Miami hotel but other than that, 5 stars! Andres at the valet was the BEST! So friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Horrible service. The unit we stayed in was much larger than what we had booked and the bathrooms were dirty. We lost air after the first night and after multiple attempts to get them to fix it (and telling us it didn’t work because it was hot outside!), we were finally moved to another room. We didn’t receive any housekeeping services in either room and had no way to reach the front desk besides going down there. Only positive was the view from our 2nd room (1st was of the parking structure) and the pool area. Would not recommend. They treat it more like an air bnb than a hotel. You could find something much better for the money.
