The New York Botanical Garden

Soon as you go thru the gates it seems like you've magically stepped into a whole huge beautiful garden and left the bronx completely. The smells of the flowers come and invite you. The trees waved at you and the breeze often comes up to you ask may I take your coat? Everyone visiting and working are so friendly calm and peaceful and that's what the place encapsulates. The rock garden is nice and this is a great place for a date contrary to popular belief. Imagine having a great conversion getting to know someone with the beauty of the day as the background for your setting and the birds singing as your longue music? Now I would eat before you get there because the food cost airport prices. Also heads-up. You will be doing a good amount of walking bring comfortable shoes there's plenty of benches tho and they do have some tour carts. Love this place. Free on Weds for NY residence if your from out of town get there between 9-10am that's the free window for you guys. Enjoy oh and of coarse great picture spot. Goes without saying

It’s a peaceful and beautiful place to spend a day with family and friends. If you’ve visited the Montreal Botanical Garden, be prepared for a different experience. Personally, I preferred the Montreal garden because I found it more walkable and engaging, while the New York Botanical Garden is more academically oriented and places a stronger emphasis on botany and plant collections. As a result, it may be especially appealing to botanists and serious gardening enthusiasts. That said, I truly appreciated the tranquil atmosphere and the beautiful landscape they have created. I definitely felt the “power of flowers” during my visit.

I love coming here for the different exhibitions. Even if you don't go to the exhibitions, there are trails and the native plants and other areas to look at. Sometimes I go with just ground admissions and find myself enjoying the walk for an hour. If you're going for the first time to this location with a friend with plans to see the exhibit, then plan for about an hour. Maybe definitely an extra hour or two more if you're going to walk and look around since there are tons of other things to see. You should definitely wear sneakers and take pictures of anything you like!!

I’ve visited the New York Botanical Garden twice in the past few months—once for the Peppa Pig exhibit with my children and most recently for the Flower Power exhibition—and both visits were fantastic. The gardens are absolutely spectacular and impeccably maintained. Everywhere you look there’s something beautiful to admire, from vibrant seasonal flowers to stunning landscapes. Parking is convenient, the facilities are spotless, and every staff member we encountered was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. During our family visit, my kids had an amazing time exploring the gardens, and the trolley ride was one of the highlights of the day. On my most recent visit for the Flower Power event, I was once again impressed by the incredible displays and the overall beauty of the grounds. It was such a relaxing and memorable experience. Whether you’re visiting with children, as a couple, or simply looking for a peaceful day surrounded by nature, the New York Botanical Garden is well worth the trip. I always leave inspired and can’t wait to come back again!

What a great place to be! It's gardens are so beautiful and well maintained. Themes are nice and well worked out (Flower Power). Prices a little stiff for European visitors ($39). Nice café with great sandwiches.
