This German restaurant is absolutely amazing! Not only is the food delicious but the service is warm and welcoming! The building alone is something that should be visited! It's full of history and features all of its old world charm that has remained unchanged since its opening. The original decor, stained glass windows and architecture lends to an authentic atmosphere for diners to behold while enjoying the many German dishes on the menu. We chose the sausage variety dinner and their housemade soups. Absolutely delicious food! Don't forget to add on the German potato salad! Overall, this gem in downtown Indy should not be skipped! You will most definitely be pleased with all this establishment has to offer!
I was there for a concert very beautiful place. We didn't eat inside. Just outside menu will come back to experience others but not really a fan of German style pizza. Oh and security and the owner and reaction time of police with things just outside the venue was excellent response time above and beyond. They handled it before it effected patrons of the venue or came in the venue. Above and Beyond experience.
Loved this place! The staff, atmosphere, & German food were all amazing! We will be back, when in town again! Thanks to Jennifer for her hospitality and the different samplings of beer for hubby to try! 😃 P.S. The lunch prices were VERY reasonable.
Wow! Never been here before but came for St. Patrick's Day. Firstly I made the reservation for 2, then changed it to 3, and they still had 2 written down, (website error) they were able to fix the situation in like 1 minute. Then our server was amazing. She gave us a sample of the Sauerbraten. Oh my goodness. It was like roast with a butternut squash tasting sauce. My dad got it as his meal. I got the shrimp scampi, best I've ever had, and my love got the schnitzel. All was amazing, and good portions for the price. I was extremely impressed by the food and the service.
The food is phenomenal! Stuffed mushrooms were the first thing I ate and they were so good. Our waitress was funny and really cool. The atmosphere was warm, fun German music playing in the backgrounds and but not loudly. Decor was spot on.
