my wedding day was amazing and I know it was a large part to you three ladies! Alex did amazing helping me plan my wedding she was so good at responding fast and always answering the smallest of questions. Wedding day she could not be there but she ensured me my day will be great and it was. The two ladies who were there on my wedding were Kaitlyn and Jenna they killed it! The wait staff was amazing the cooks were amazing the food was amazing my guest said it was the best wedding food they have had. The people who set up were amazing. I am so eternally grateful for the whole staff that made my wedding amazing. I truly met it when I said thank you to anyone and everyone that crossed my Path. I may have scared the kitchen staff but I truly met my thank yous and all the praise I gave everyone who worked my day to make my wedding special. I do hope this is shared to upper management I want to have all the staff that worked my wedding may 2 2026 to get recognition. I know how to be on the other end of an event I use to work at a hotel and I know not getting the recognition can sting sometimes. So I hope I made everyone feel that I appreciated them being there and working so I had an amazing time. Thank you I don’t think I can ever thank you enough to be honest. What a great golf course. Very fair price, great condition, fair but hard, and just fun to play. The staff was amazing, we had a guy rent clubs and they were quality Titleist clubs. We had burgers before the round and those were great. We played holes 10-27 and 19-27 was awesome, it felt like up north golf. If I lived near Clarkston this would be my go to course. They had a lot of rain the day before and the course was still dry and playable.

Excellent course. Played 10-27. Very challenging but fair course with wide fairways. Has a lot of we'll placed placed bunkers. Perfectly maintained and in fantastic condition. One of the best parts was pace of play. We never saw the group behind us, only waited on a couple par 3s for the grip in front of us. Beautiful clubhouse and wedding venue. Green fees are are reasonable for the quality and experience. I will definitely play it again.

Shepherd’s Hollow Golf Club Review – 3/5 Stars (Course) | 4/5 Stars (Service & Amenities) We played the original 18 holes (what the club refers to as holes 1–18) at Shepherd’s Hollow. Green fees were approximately $130 USD per person, including a cart. The first thing that stood out was the excellent staff. The greeter upon arrival, the starter, and the lady in the pro shop were all exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They genuinely made us feel appreciated as guests and provided the kind of service you’d expect from a premium golf facility. Unfortunately, the pace of play was the biggest disappointment. Our round took 5 hours, and we were waiting on virtually every hole. I understand this is largely a player issue, but on a busy Saturday I’d expect the course to be more proactive. We didn’t see a marshal until around the 13th hole, and he simply drove by without stopping or addressing the backups. The pace never improved. To make matters worse, the group behind us hit into our group on four separate occasions. We certainly weren’t the cause of the delay—we had nowhere to go because we were waiting on the group ahead all day. This created an unnecessary safety concern. A marshal who was consistently monitoring the course could have spoken with the group behind us, reinforced proper golf etiquette, and helped manage the pace of play. Unfortunately, after the brief sighting on the 13th hole, there was no marshal presence when it was needed most. The golf carts were comfortable and equipped with GPS, which was appreciated. However, I was surprised there were no golf bag covers, no ball washers, and no divot mix on the carts. There was also no beverage cart on the course during a prime-time Saturday afternoon, which felt like a noticeable omission given the price. The food was a highlight. The halfway house offered great food, and we stayed for dinner afterward. Our server was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and professional—and the meal itself was excellent. It was a great way to finish the day and another example of the high level of customer service provided by the staff. As for the course itself, it’s a fair but challenging layout with elevation changes, doglegs, and a variety of holes. The greens were in good condition and rolled well, although they weren’t especially fast or exceptionally pure. One green in particular—the back-nine par 4 that doglegs right with the green tucked into the trees—was noticeably slower than the rest of the course. I found the front nine to be fairly basic, with several holes blending together and lacking much distinction. I enjoyed the back nine more overall, but it also includes a few gimmicky holes. Hole 16, in particular, just felt unnecessarily quirky rather than enjoyable. There are also quite a few blind shots throughout the course, which isn’t a style of golf I personally enjoy. Overall, I thought Shepherd’s Hollow was a solid experience, but for approximately $130 USD per person, I expected more. I’ve played several public courses throughout Michigan that I found to be more enjoyable while also costing noticeably less. At this price point, I expected a more memorable layout, better pace-of-play management, and stronger on-course amenities. Course: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) Service & Amenities: ★★★★☆ (4/5) I’d certainly return if I were in the area, but with the premium price, I’d hope for a better overall value proposition.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Beautiful Venue & Amazing Team! Shepherd’s Hollow was truly such a stunning place to get married. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous — every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. The setting is just breathtaking and makes for the most incredible backdrop. From the start, communication and organization were great. Anytime we had questions, the team was extremely responsive and always provided clear answers that made sense. They truly know what they’re doing. Our coordinator, Jenna, was OUT OF THIS WORLD. She was so organized, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything ran perfectly and made me feel so calm and relaxed. I genuinely didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The food was AMAZING — we received multiple compliments from guests about how great it was, which was so important to us. They also work with fantastic vendors, which made the entire planning process feel smooth and seamless. The only thing to be aware of is that prices are subject to change even after securing your date, so just be prepared to stay flexible. I also wish there had been one large document outlining all pricing, options, and add-ons instead of multiple separate documents. It made organizing everything a little more difficult at times — but honestly, this was easy to overlook because the team was always so helpful and communicative. If it’s within your budget, I would absolutely recommend Shepherd’s Hollow. It was truly an unforgettable experience! ✨
