Viewline Resort Snowmass

I stay in Marriott’s every week and this is one of my absolute favorites. The staff are INCREDIBLE, the location is so convent, and the food in and around the hotel are fantastic! I got an email from Miya prior to our arrival and explained to her that we were coming for a work trip to the Aspen Food and Wine Festival and my husband was joining me since it was our five year anniversary. Our room was upgraded. We were given a bottle of wine to celebrate and every time we are in a common area the staff knows us by name and ask what they can do to make it better. Lennyn and the rest of the valet team are so great and the check in process was smooth and easy. We are loving our time here and hope to come back soon!

I was staying here for work 11 night stay, it started off good until middle of the trip power went off, also had issues with billing, getting a hold of someone at the front desk, lots of staff being disorganized, not available having to track someone down for valet or for packages, invoices and receipts, and returning of dry cleaning and laundry services. Mind you we had 10 rooms here, My last night here i had no hot water as well as the morning of check out, I reached out to the front desk for a manager and as soon as Daniel Terrazas came in he called asap, I explained everything that had happened during our stay, Daniel listened took notes and addressed all the issues in a gracious manner and was able to resolve in a way i felt taken care of. I would have loved to give this hotel a 5 star review, Daniel Terrazas deserves 5 stars alone for his service i only wished that i spoke with him days ago not on the day of check out. I hope the staff can learn from him on how he has a sense of urgency and is able to resolve issues in a split second verse giving the run around that i had experienced with most of the staff. Thank you Daniel again and look forward to coming back to give the hotel another try. I hope to give a 5 star review next time i stay here.

We are staying at Viewline Hotel which is an Marriott autograph. The restaurant on the lower level is both inside and outside. We sat outside on a lovely day and the ski lift is right there by the outdoor seating. I can imagine how busy and awesome this spot is during ski season as it is absolutely beautiful in the summertime in Colorado. Rodrigo was our server and did a fabulous job. I tend to ask a lot of questions and he answered all of them with a smile on his face. The food, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, was delicious and since it wasn’t a massive portion (I get overwhelmed when food comes out and it’s enough for 2-3 people, especially breakfast and on vacation since breakfast food does not tend to make good leftovers and staying in a hotel you can’t exactly reheat). I ate every bite. My husband had the breakfast burrito and enjoyed his as well.

Let me start off my saying I don’t like to write bad reviews but I wish I had read something like this prior to booking this hotel. I’m giving them three stars because the location is great. We booked this hotel months in advance and my husband scheduled a shuttle pickup from the airport (also months in advance) but they seemed to have forgotten us. We waited outside with all our ski gear and two month old baby for about 30 minutes before a shuttle showed up. I think only because my husband called to ask where they were. Once we got to the hotel they told us they have a policy of no skis in the room so we had to open our ski bags on the front drive and remove them before they’d take our bags to our room. They also never brought our bags to our room. We went back to the valet stand to get them and the bags were sitting there on the luggage cart while the staff member was standing there on his phone. It was once my husband started to walk away with the luggage cart that the staff offered to help. Also, we did put on our reservation that we were traveling with an infant and still had to request a crib two times. Lastly, night two our heat/AC was broken so we couldn’t control the temperature in the room and had to sleep with the door open. They were able to fix this but was frustrating nonetheless. This hotel is fine. Rooms seemed clean and location is good but service was seriously lacking. Thankfully we used points but for what it cost ($800/night) I would never pay to stay here.

I came to Aspen for business and selected Viewline for the beautiful landscape. The drive there from the aiport was wonderful. All the Resort staff I met were extremely professional and friendly. Special recognition to Viannela Velasquez (Front Desk) for her professionalism and warm welcome. Also to Dayanara (Food and Beverage Manager) for her friendliness and for providing a lists of POI.
