This is a definite must see! Especially during stork nesting season Feb-April. Beautiful boardwalk for easy access to seeing all of the critters living here. Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Restroom available. Spots to sit in the shade and observe. Great picture taking opportunities. I simply love it here!

Beautiful, peaceful wetlands with an elevated wooden boardwalk that allows you to see all the wildlife and bird nesting abound. The information center is filled with educational information regarding the wildlife and vegetation featured on the trail. Great place to visit if you just want to enjoy the great outdoors.

Beautiful wetlands path. We saw so many species of birds including: - Great Blue Heron - Tricolored Heron - Black-Necked Stilt - Purple Martin (They have a whole housing area for them.) - Mottled Duck - Double-Crested Cormorant - Black-Bellied Whistling Duck - Western Cattle-Egret - Purple Gallinule - Wood Stork - Common Gallinule - Boat Tailed Grackle - Glossy Ibis - Anhinga If I lived in this area I would be here all the time.

Such a fun spot to go to, especially if you love bird watching. My suggestion is go early, parking is limited and sometimes you have to wait awhile for a spot to open up. There is security managing the incoming traffic for parking. But just an amazing collection of birds and animals to see. This is completely free and absolutely worth a visit.

We got there too late in the season due to knee surgery recovery but there was still some babies in their nest and unfortunately I couldn't go very far but what I did see made me happy! I'm going to guess the best time of year to go to see the hatchlings would be April? That's not to say that that there isn't a beautiful boardwalk or boardwalks around the park and you can always see nature at every turn
