Choosing Avenue D Events was single handedly the best decision we made to ensure a seamless wedding experience! My husband and I knew that we wanted to have a beautiful stress-free wedding planning process and the team at Avenue D delivered! The “Everything But The Dress” Package was truly a life-saver! As our in house wedding planners Laura and Samantha ensured that everything was taken care of from start to finish! This meant that we received vetted, top tier vendors from across the Birmingham Area without having to manage complicated contracts and timelines. Although we were not living in Birmingham, they worked with us to ensure that every detail was handled including in-person and virtual vendor meeting scheduling and day of timeline coordination. All we had to do throughout the process was show up! What we were most impressed by, however, was the kindness and attentiveness shown by Laura, Samantha, and Allie (our design and decor expert) in the weeks leading up to the wedding. You all were a heaven-sent dream team! I can truly say that on the day of our wedding, we were not stressed one bit. We were able to enjoy the entire day knowing that everything was taken care of. This is such a rare experience and all of the credit goes to the team at Avenue D. Thank you Laura, Samantha, Allie, and Chuck for curating the perfect wedding experience for us from start to finish!

We love working with Avenue D! Laura and Chuck are both so amazing at making sure you have everything you need, and their assistant Samantha is so helpful as well. We have experienced Avenue D as wedding and event vendors multiple times, and also have the experience working with them as clients now. Both sides of the experience with them and their venue have been wonderful. We recently held our businesses 10 year anniversary celebration there, and it was the perfect choice. Their space is the perfect touch of modern, industrial, yet soft and very transformable. We have seen Ave D in many different aspects from styled photoshoots to weddings and more, and every time it was the perfect aesthetic. Avenue D Event Center in downtown Birmingham was an absolute joy to photograph at for a recent wedding. From the moment I walked in, the owners were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely present for their couple. They are the kind of people who make you feel like family even when you’re “just the photographer.” You can truly see how much heart they pour into every wedding, and that kind of care is something really special. And let’s talk about the space… it’s basically a photographer’s playground. The funky, thoughtfully curated design, amazing textures, and unique decor show how much pride the owners take in every little detail. Everywhere you turn there’s another beautiful corner just waiting to be photographed. You can tell this place was created with so much intention and personality. The view of the Sloss Furnaces is such an iconic Birmingham backdrop! industrial, meets romantic, It adds so much character and charm you just can’t replicate anywhere else. I left feeling so thankful to have worked in a space where the owners care deeply about both their couples and their vendors. I would absolutely love to photograph at Avenue D again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue full of character, creativity, and good old Birmingham hospitality.

We held our wedding reception at Avenue D this past June. Laura, Chuck, and Sam were PHENOMENAL to work with. The exquisite and unique space offered a wonderful bridal suite + kitchenette upstairs that was stocked with snacks and bubbly! The girls and I were utilized that space all morning long! The downstairs space offered indoor + outdoor space that our guests were able to utilize and enjoy during our reception. The inside was able to fit our 5 person band, a photo booth, bartenders, and catering + cake tables! The outside area was perfect for a June night in Birmingham & made for perfect pictures earlier in the day. The space offered a kitchen for our caterer to use. Also, there were FIVE (!!!!!!) bathrooms for guests to use as well, each with a unique theme and design. Avenue D took such good care of us from the moment we booked them to the day of. We loved working with them!!
