The Keystone Ranch restaurant has enormous potential and the building itself is a beautiful, classic western log structure. However, there were several issues with our meal here that should not have occurred at this restaurant’s price point ($100+ per person). First, it took the waitress more than 25 minutes to come over to take our order once we were seated. She did not explain the menu as promised either when she did come. We had the Delice de Bourgogne as our appetizer and the soft and creamy cheese was one of the best cheeses that I have ever had. It then took more than an hour for our main meals to come. It took so long that the waitress brought out extra soups for us. My husband’s bison ribeye steak (listed for $125 on the menu) came out cold and they gave us a side of wild mushrooms that tasted like seaweed instead of the mushroom cream sauce he had ordered. We told both our waitress and the man who had brought out the food about us not receiving the sauce. It then took 15 minutes to receive it, meaning that my husband had already finished eating by that time. My steak frites was rather tough and difficult to cut, I honestly have had better at the cafeteria at work. Fortunately, the waitress did take 25% off our bill and waived the mushroom cream sauce due to the issues. Additionally, we were seated in the extension room that did not receive the heat from the main room. We had to ask for them to turn the fireplace back on and had to wear our winter coats for warmth during the dinner. Prior to eating here, I also had received a survey asking about any dietary restrictions and if it was a special occasion. It was our wedding anniversary so I selected that option, but it never was acknowledged. If the restaurant doesn’t intend to acknowledge special occasions, they shouldn’t ask. All together, the experience took more than 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Have had dinners there for the yearly conference held at the Keystone Conference Center. The ranch is a golf course and the Ranch is a perk of golfing there. Not a golfer so I cannot tell anything about the course. But the Ranch is outstanding. Wonderful atmosphere with top tier dining and service. Like any top tier dining, it's not low budget. But the food is great. If youre in Keystone for a get away..., eat the bullet and splurge on yourselves. It's worth it. Aren't you?
If you’re within an hour radius of this place - it’s 100% worth the visit! The food was INCREDIBLE and the service matched! My only critic is that the atmosphere was a bit bland and not as relaxing as I would’ve expected. However I will definitely return next time I’m in town!
We had such a wonderful experience here! We had a group of 8 and the menu had amazing options for us all to share. Catrina explained the menu to us and her recommendations were spot on! She made our dinner experience so fun and enjoyable!
Everything was BEYOND AMAZING!! The team really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, at home and taken care of. The new chef, Chef Sean, is a Phenomenal Chef that knows how to pair flavors textures and components perfectly. Every bite is perfectly balanced and delicious that makes you wanna go back for more. The new menu, showcases rustic Colorado flavors in an upscale fashion with every bite being better than the last. If you’re looking for a wonderful dinner Look no further than the Keystone Ranch!!
