I had a fundraising event for my nonprofit organization and the venue flooded just before the event started. I had to cancel the event and they would not issue a refund for the rental, food, dress ( ruined from dirty standing water), flight, and hotel costs. Their authorized representative that was at the event said they would issue a refund for everything but 2 days later the manager said they are using a force majeure clause in the contract. The venue flooded due to improper drainage. These people should be ashamed of themselves and obviously do the right thing. When I reserved this place I paid full price not a deposit and they were far from transparent. I told them I did not want to pay for alcohol and that I wanted a cashbar, the manager JoAnna said I could talk to the beverage manager at a later date. She did not mention the $1200 price tag that came with having a cashbar for 150 people and guests of course still had to pay for their drinks. I was supposed to have a "concierge" person communicate throughout the process which would have been from 5/1 to 8/1, that didn't happen. I heard from them 2 days before the event. I was raising money for my nonprofit organization that offers free vacation lodging to individuals with life limiting illnesses and/or their unpaid caregivers but now I am at a loss of $6000.

My mother has a nonprofit that provides respite for individuals and families with terminal illnesses. We were hosting an event to help raise money for the organization and the site completely flooded. People couldn’t get to the event and we were unable to have the event as planned. While all of this was happening, the INDUSTRY apologized and said we would be able to get not only a refund for the event but also for the food. They did neither! They told us we were not getting a refund and to contact our insurance company. Money over humanity and integrity.

We booked INDUSTRY as our reception venue for our wedding last November and couldn't have chosen a better venue! INDUSTRY was the first venue we toured and we loved how the industrial touches still felt warm and inviting. The aspects we loved most about the building itself were the location: close to downtown Indianapolis, plenty of parking for guests, clean and spacious get-ready rooms and bathrooms, and the flexibility to bring our own personal touches to the space. We also loved that INDUSTRY has an open-vendor policy. We also have to shout out the staff at INDUSTRY for all the work they put in setting up and packing up our decor! We opted for partial planning services, and our client concierge Alisa was godsend. She also coordinated our ceremony offsite and made sure the reception went off without a hitch. She is so knowledgeable about putting together a smooth day-of timeline and suggesting vendors and decor ideas. Closer to the wedding day, Alisa was instrumental in reviewing our contracts and communicating final details with our vendors on our behalf. That took an immense load of stress off our plates. We can't thank Alisa and her team (Bekah, Steve, and others) enough for a perfect wedding day that our guests still speak fondly of months later.

INDUSTRY was everything we wanted and more for our wedding day! It was the perfect venue and the team was so accommodating for our larger wedding size. The open concept of the space made for a beautiful ceremony and reception, and the ability to bring in our own vendors allowed us to be creative and have some fun with our wedding day itinerary. Alisa, our planner through INDUSTRY, supported us every step of the way and truly helped our vision come to life! She made the day of the wedding seamless and made sure we only had to focus on enjoying ourselves and all our guests. We cannot recommend INDUSTRY enough, and if you choose this venue, make sure to work with Alisa, she is the best :)
